Hows that Captains thread going? Any talk or is it a done deal?

Just out of curiosity...how do 3 teams flip a coin?

Three people flip a coin. If they all land as heads or all as tails, re-flip. Otherwise, there will be one that is the odd one out, which is the "winner." Then the other two flip and one team calls it, heads or tails.

And will someone from Nasa potentially come down to meet Cran and CL on a certain day and do that?
Can we do it honestly over the phone? Or Skype?

Glad we are flipping coins and not discs. We want to keep the tiebreaker as arbitrary and non-golf related as possible.

And with good reason, discs don't always land dome or dish. I once flipped an old birdie putter before a round at Cape Henlopen and it headstoned in the sand! We had to reflip.

Charlie: NASA beat Cran in head to head, so no additional tie breaker needed there. CL still hasn't even paid? Really? You should lose any/all tie breakers on that point alone -- perhaps not even be allowed at Finals. We paid back on October 18th.

He's talking about the fact that Capt. Larry hasn't paid their dues yet.. that's what he's talking about... all other 7 A Pool teams have paid...

At the same time JD, you didn't beat Capt. Larry head to head, so if CL loses to Cran, to go 3-2, they have the tiebreaker over you...

If CL and NASA both go 3-2, and we never played each other this year, then how does CL have the tie breaker over NASA?

And yes, just giving CL some grief over not having paid. Is that accurate?

I paid my captain at the beginning of the season. We all did. I had no idea that we were not paid up. I guess you can definitely bitch at our team for that one.
Sh*t...i don't even think we should be allowed to continue on either!

We all have to wait for Tolland v Crane hill. The upper B pool gets to choose the locale next. Unfortunately they arent going to play until the 1st,last I heard. So the entire league gets to sit and wait for the results.

I begged them not to wait, just pick a place...deaf ears made no reply.

This could be simple; Let Pleasant hill pick a place that B pool finals will go to if they are the top team. In case of a tie with Tolland, they should have a another (or the same) location already negotiated with Tolland. Announce the decision ASAP.

Then the two other finals can plan their events. Otherwise we are all waiting until April 1st.

Steve, Thanks for posting something about the B Pool Finals. Is there any more info known/decided? I took a quick run through these threads and could not find anything definitive. Top 6 teams only? Upper 6 & Lower 6 in 2 separate locations? Stoke play or Match Play? Definitive date? Thanks, John

Its top 6 at one place; bottom 6 at another. I think its all stroke play. Thats what I can decipher anyway. Some stuff is a little vague and I have asked Todd to clarify.

So John, whoever wins on Saturday is in the "upper" finals.

It'll be a team challenge, steel cage, death match between Barre/Devens and West Thompson!!!
