count up the first page of the team challenge section. There are over 5000 posts...it's more than one person, but you will be put on the list Andy.

So we need to review all prior posts to set a baseline bad-actor list? I thought this was just moving forward (today+)
Not that it impacts my willingness to help out, just want to understand the expectation

No need to go back, just trying to put it in perspective of the volume of posts that need to be reviewed. That was over 5000 on the first page. The season started on page 3 or 4. It's more than just one person that needs to be involved with this.

I think that if you stay current it isnt that hard to keep on top of them. Agree that I could use some help, dont want to have a dictatorship anyways...

I would say that current membership to post is ridiculous, HOW do you expect to grow???

This is a tool!

Whatever you peeps decide is ok.
Thank you for stepping up to help the NEFA community.

I am an offender and appreciated when Jeff W told me so. At first I thought it was lame, but quickly understood Jeff's intentions. He has good intentions and is looking out for the best interest of NEFA.

Thanks for the forward thinking you guys!!!

I hear you too Titan 8-)

A suggestion - Make the moderator(s) anonymous so that retaliation isn't an option and I think you would find more people stepping up to help.

I wouldn't mind being a moderator if there wasn't potential negative ramifications.

Also, one way to have negative postings somewhere that wouldn't be a problem, would be to use a team challenge facebook page. They have their own moderators.

Just stumbled on this thread. I wonder if part of the lack of volunteers is the fact that its summer and people aren't as focused on team challenge and aren't as likely to tune in to TC threads. I also understand wanting to limit this tc issue to the tc thread, but a general disc post may generate a better response.

I would like to understand better what lines are being drawn here. Since many will say I am an offender, and since many have become offenders in response to my alleged offenses.

Where do you draw the lines?

I told some if my buddies on team newbie hill (serious question, is that over the line?) that I would only be using my super-troll powers for good from now on, but people have differing definitions of "good". (See, for example, recent discussions regarding for-profit disc golf tournaments.)

If tc moved to a third party site, you would need a separate registration/ login I would assume? If so, I agree with Steve that this will hurt the growth of team challenge and prevent introduction of a wicked fun thing to loads of discers.

So what is allowed and what is not? Some of TB's and the Bandana's posts will eventually require me to seek professional psychological treatment, but for the rest of us offenders, what are the limits?

I would say that 98% of your posts are fine from my perspective. If this moves forward I will be focused on verbally (or insinuation of physically) abusive insults and overly vulgar commentary. I get most of the history behind many of the posts and I understand the good natured spirit of TC so I won't overreact to posts along those lines

Insinuation and approval of violence on a thread about efforts to resolve abusive/ inappropriate posts. Fantastic.

The User Agreement is only a basic paragraph and DOES leave room for "grey areas". Unless someone wants to expand on it enough to cover the majority of infractions/incidents/etc, I see no clear cut answer for your question about the "line".

Main problem is, everyone has a different "personal line".

It's included in the cost of the league, so there's no additional cost that you need to pay. Just think of it as an increase in the league dues.
