Re: RF&G
Titan I'll pick you up 8 the latest. I really want these irrigation quirks fixed on 13 and 15. Re do tee location of 11. Pick up some of the debris that was left under the snow.

Re: RF&G
Jason, Don't worry about it was an adrenaline rush and a workout much needed. I took care of it solo in about 45 minutes from cut to brush pile. Good times. Feel free to come up and join the fun anytime.

Re: RF&G
TY to Guy and I lol
we put some more finishing touches on hole 13's fairway/airway..the tee area is well flooded kinda lol that will be fixed during the tee construction process..for now find a dry area and have fun with it..should be dry in a week
finalized the tee position on hole 11 and cut/cleared the new tee area
also opened up an optional route up fairway to the left..the seam looks nice
did some work on hole 12 and cleaned up many things we missed due to snow fall
cleaned all around the green..exploring a new pin position
sunday..we should prob clean up 7's green, cut 8's new tee area
take a peak at 15's tee areas water issue...and maybe clean a lil on 14/15
IDK just a thought overall it was great being back at it in the sunshine and fresh air..
the place is really scenic and gives a rural NE vibe..I dig

Re: RF&G
Played a round this morning and took some notes. Somethings may not be necessary but would be nice, and somethings you probably already know.
Hole 2 - Walking from tee to basket still puts you through a muddy area similar to what will be OB on 1, a mulch trail would be nice. Also, a better bridge over that small drainage ditch would be sweet.
Hole 3 - There is a pretty large branch pile to the left of the fairway that could come into play with a kick off of a tree, maybe they could burn this one.
Hole 9 - I am not sure if I love or hate this hole. I have put a lot of sweet looking drives down that fairway, but they always hit a tree on the ridge. There really isn't much of a line once you get to the ridge.
Hole 10 - I played the back nine twice and should have had a great shot both times. Except, there is a pine in the middle that needs pole sawing. I hit the gap both times, but hit a branch sticking out. It causes a player to through a low shot on an uphill hole, which I think is dumb.
Path from 14 - 15 - Major drainage issue
Hole 16 - The basket has a chain on it, but I don't think it is actually chained down to anything. This is an issue because one part of the chain is resting on top of the basket and could deflect a good put. Also, I took a 2 on this hole. I found a risky short cut that paid off. Probably would only throw it in doubles with someone safely in the fairway normally.
Hole 17 - There is a branch or two on a tree on the left that could be done away with. Like on 10, this could prevent people from throwing a nice high hyzer. There is still plenty of room for a good shot, but it does prevent an option.
Hole 18 - I have been playing the left line. I drove it well both times, but never got a good lie or decent gap for a second shot. Not sure what you are thinking for that hole, but I feel like the tee shot is fine (at least for the left line, have only played the right once) and third/fourth shots are fine, but there isn't a great line for second shots.
Paul

Re: RF&G
oh, and most tees need work. I realize this is kind of obvious since there are not tees, but some have holes or major unevenness and many have small tripper stumps and/or roots/sticks in the ground.
Lastly, We need to start a dubs league so more people play the course and give feedback.

Re: RF&G
when I get from VA on 4/25ish..the first part of tee construction will begin,
I will measure and flag/stake off the areas..then the sediment will be dug out to sub grade and leveled...then during that fill/gravel/stonedust/ricestone will be ordered...fill and leveled again...then the frames will be installed..level again and grade around them..
of course drainage and etc etc will also need to be condsidered
hole 18..yes it needs major more work..Guy and I just dont want to look at this hole for a lil bit..clear our heads of it..it beat us down hard and hgeld us up for almost 2 months..lol
so once we are done being angry at it..we will go revisit it and crush out those approach lines...and maybe tweak a bit...
hole 9..I am torn..I have an idea that may need to be applied if hole 18 needs to be tweaked..
I have had several real shots at 3/4's so I am not sure if it needs much adjustments or just better shot shaping by us the players...
so 9 & 18 just need to be played then revisited after input and some wear from players
the path from 14-15 is next on short list
holes 15-17 had mucho snow fall when we were working and have not had our 2nd waive yet...so some manicuring will happen...
the tee shot from 17 needs some sculpting...we wanted spring to actually look at the entire tee area first...as we may go sicker..plus a stick busted me in the mouth and I wanted away from the tree that smacked me.
anyways..I know you expressed interest on helping with early tee construction..soon when the terrain drys we can get em dug out..
I will be using my drive to VA to ponder and plan out this spring/summers plan...been crazy need to focus and get some systems in place..my main goal now is to get her back to work and figure out what my schedule will look like..
can't wait to progress this course to the next playable level
ty all that have helped...a few more troops and club attention once they get the club up and going for the season will be awesome...

Guy and I braved the late 3-4 inch after math of an April snow storm
we threw some disc..complained about the snow for a bit then got to worky
we cleaned up our access path..relocated some tools
then we did some worky on hole 14 and 15's tee area
mostly a chill day I was dragging arse and guy was busy as a bee as usual
green area on 14 cleaned up and widen a bit..15's tee some debris cut and removed
cya all after I get from VA...for some TEE PAD LOVE..oh and signage...I gotta call Jerm tonight/friday...drrr remember
crush it while I am gone...tee area on 8, and green area on 7...just leave a few pines for coolness I guess on 7's green
15's green area and 16 could prob use some love as well
other then that have at it...
