Since Dave S says it's not an A or B record we should continue on that way. We have been talking about setting the course to all short and all long during parts of next year to mix it up a little. We can keep track of the scores shot on those layouts and keep them as seperate records.
I do think we should keep track of the 27 hole doubles record and the singles/doubles record for 12-2.
Jerel an I can claim a 69 shot during Sunday league for the 27. 4/1/07
Mike D and I shot a 47 for holes 12-2 during Sunday league. 4/10/05
Both of those scores are documented in the Sunday Doubles thread. And now that we are traking them, I think they will fall soon. Maybe not through the rest of this year but next year for sure.
Also, for the 18 hole doubles record I would remove the "former records" at 42 and 44. Those are really old scores and there have been countless 42's and 43's shot since then.

I have a question about Southwick's 42 on 18 holes. Did he score that when 16 was way shorter, next to the new bench? If he did is this measurable to today's layout?
That is a ridiculus record for singles and yet very impressive.

Joe Yasksi asks:
Southwick's 42 was on the same layout we have today: 15 by the parking lot, and 16 tee on top of the dam.
Davis Johnson's 41 was the original layout: 15 tee on top of dam with the hole between the first two big trees. 16 tee was near the bench, with the pole hole position same as today.

Shaun, Let's just say I don't know of a better round that was shot on that setup.
Also, there has been a ton of prunning and the back 9 is playing, maybe as easy as ever,..if not eaiser.
That's why I say,..that record will fall soon.

Shaun,
I have a hard time believeing that. There are enough people that have read this thread that could claim being in or, withnessing a round better than 47.
First, we've hardly ever play that setup for league (without playing 27) over the last 2.5 years since Mike and I shot the 47. What other situation is going to put that many good players together to do it? Second, go through the holes in their current configuration, which I think is the easier setup.
Only 13, 14, 15, 17, 21, 23, 25, 26, 18, 1 and 2,.... are really 2-able. Sure you could get any hole at any time but the others would be a rare dueces
Additionally I think 14, 15, 21 (until this week a crap shoot), 23 and 25 are difficult decues for sure.
Then you have to get around the course with throwing OB or carding a boggie anywhere. And, you can't miss to many of the birdie holes and still get to 7 down.
Then think of the disc technology improvments over the last 2 years. The 325 fott thrower from 2 years ago is now throwing 360 with the same technique and better technology. 2 years ago I only knew a handfull of guys that could reach hole 2 or 17 or 26 long. Now, seems like everyone can do it.
47 will fall but not by much. And, It probably won't fall on the other setup.
Also keep in mind Mike and I did it while playing all long baskets.
If anybody can claim better than 47 on 12-2,..lets hear it.

Tied by Derek Libby and Scott Mallar on September 9.
Official tournament record at Dragan Field = 47 (Gary Ellsworth, Joe Mela, Dr. Doug, and Matt Deangelis)
Unofficial (non-tournament/league) record at Dragan Field = 44 (Scott Mallar 3X, Derek Libby)

If the weather is decent, it will go down next weekend, maybe even by me and my son.
I shot 52 in singles with many mistakes. 48 is not that tough, even for singles.

I agree 46 will be a good score there. Due to use missing hole 1 and 2 for a duece we still shot 5 under and those two holes are not hard.. One thing about that course there are a couple of holes that will make or break your score like 18. One bad roll or a dive into a 3ft bolder in front of the tee pad is tricky..
