Really?

Maybe we'll move our challenge since Borderland is worrying about finishing before dark.

My rationale is to play where there is the best footing available and where my team has some experience if possible..

Problem here is none of my guys have seen W. Thompson. And it seems the better footing/less snow is at W. Thompson.

played pyramids yesterday...teeboxes were great but still enough snow to bury discs...same with Buff....I've only heard that West Thompson was mostly melted...Cross Farms was melting fast..easy to walk....more snow coming during the week so best teepads may prevail

Last I checked we were 10 or 11 strong. 9 vs 9 singles then 4 vs 4 doubles with the optional 1 vs 1 single
(or we could do 1 triple and 3 doubles just to mix things up for the 2nd round) Give it some thought and we can work it out on Sunday.

I've been a little under the weather since the LIckyears day tourney so I might just do the capt thing and leave the playing to the healthy players.

Well Allen, that would plain suck because no teams in RI.

Are you trying to jump ship from Team Tolland already?

We have two current O staters on our roster, and two natives RI. Sounds like we are the natural fit for you Greg.

Great day of golf at the neutral site of Pyramids. Many thanks to J and Vinny for having all the teeboxes in superb condition.

1st round matchplay singles silver:

PJ Dan over Chris P 2/1 (W)
Mike C over Hogger 2/1 (B)
Greg over Mike D 5/4 (W)
Matt d over Jay b 2/1 (B)
Jack over Matt s 5/4 (W)
Gordon over Eric K 3/2 (W)
Ryan over Jesse 2/1 (B)
Chip over Pete J 1/0 (W)

Wick 5 Bord 3

2nd round stroke doubles silver:

Jack/Gordon over Chris P/Eric K 46 to 53 (W)

P Johnson/Ryan over Big Nic/Clayton. 50 to 50 (B)
- team Bord ties team Wick on last hole of reg. then takes it on 2nd POH

Mike d/Mike c over Jesse/Hogger 46 to 46 (B)
- team Bord ties team Wick on last hole of reg. then takes it on a 40-45 ft bird jump putt on first POH (hole 1)

Greg/Chip over Matt d/Matt s 45 to 45 (W)
-team bord ties team wick on last hole of reg. then team wick wins it on the 2nd POH on a Chip drop in birdy.

Wick 9 Bord 7

Talk about a close contest. Three of the four final matches go to POH after being tied on the last hole of reg. The final match of Greg/Chip vs. The Matts ends up being the last match to finish and it's for all the marbles in front of a large gallery of onlookers. Priceless.

Great match Wick. Tough loss to swallow, but good to know it was in our hands at the end. If we win the last playoff we win the day. Very close all day. Thanks for the funtimes, we will meet again at finals.

Next up; Tolland in Feb.

Mike...Not to take anything away from your playoffs but a win by any other borderland team would had meant a tie. Jack and I won so it was determined by the last group if Wick won or if it would be a tie...then another playoff...Fun day... snow was a bit deep. I lost 3 disc on drives that were right in front of us and even spotted. Good foot of snow still up there...
