Dear DJ, we always appreciate your feedback. Short basket #8 was moved to the long position. JJ was asking me about a MIA set of loppers - maybe they're his. Are they frontal lobe loppers?
Glad to hear that your recent therapy session was productive.
Come back soon and see the doctor about further treatments - I think you're overdue for your annual assessment. Hopefully you haven't done any irreversible, self-administered damage. Lunacy is forever, but help is available 24-7 at said institution, staff specialists available by appointment.

Yes the loppers seem to be lobotomy post humous (post posterior as opposed to pre-frontal?)
At any rate, feel considerably better, though somewhat muddled, having preformed the procedure myself. Entry was a little hard necessitating the appliction of a diamond drill. However, once achieved, a certain mushiness of incoherence was discovered and immediately excised.
But then the drill bit into the the zone of irrationality at the seat of my Id, deep in the reptilian pre-cambrian stem section.
The diamond drill is still missing. My superego is pointing fingers, so to speak, at my Id, and now I don't know who to believe.
But weep not for me-- this is all MUCH more entertaining than Gameboy.

Work/Playday at the State Hospital
Attention all, spread the word, we are having a work/play day this Saturday. Conditions at the course are good there is very little snow and some ice that should be gone after tomorrows high temperatures.
Beer and pizza will be supplied for those coming to work.
Basic strategy, cut (at least) and clear rosebushes and bittersweet throughout the course, concentrating mostly on holes 6,8,9,12.
I envision getting started around 10, either working while playing, or working for 2 hours having lunch then playing. Or everybody bring some lunch, I'll bring some snacks, we'll work, then play, then go out to eat.
Hope to see many of you there.
Jason J.

I'm in...
Winter has made me far too sedintary, I need to exert and have withheld therapy for far too long. Ironically it's been the lack of snow that has couped me up in the house more othen than I'd have liked.
Would bringing tools be helpful are are you covered there?
We're looking at some rain in the forecast, so dress accordingly...

Hey! Fantastic job on the new tee pads-- they add a lot to the course. Pooch and I got in three rounds this afternoon, and it felt fantastic to air it out on bare ground in the middle of February. I also noted a cleared up fairway on 16, and I am sure there were other cosmetics applied that I missed (Is there a left alley to the basket on 8 over the nasty thorn patch that is developing, or is that just a "trees are bare" mirage?)
(Missed the announcement for last work day till after the fact-- hope to contribute for next)

Yeah maybe. Hole #1 is really the only high conflict hole. Not sure how to handle that - it sure would be nice if more of the dog walkers would get a clue - but we may need to redesign or in some way change hole 1. The green is OK, I think, it's more a matter of how to avoid the conflict on the drive. Any ideas appreciated. I personally wouldn't want to eliminate hole 1 but if we could tweak it slightly to minimize conflict I'd be all for that. Suggestions?
Sorry I missed you guys yesterday, I played a round in the afternoon with some of the local diehards.

There are frequent passerby on hole one but it's not hard to find openings to throw. I only see a possible problem here during tournaments.
However, a possible way to take the two and four leggeds out of play would be to move the tee for hole one far enough to the the right, to necessitate a drive over the ravine. Which in turn would necessitate clearing an alley to the pin by trimming some of the low hanging branches on the near side of the ravine, as well as trimming back some of the tall brush on the pole hole side of the ravine. This could result in a nicely framed do or die, low ceilinged alley shot to the pin.
Sheesh, how did I manage to miss both Felix and Billy Mac on the same afternoon?!
Doctor's orders: Let's schedule some overdue group therapy. I'm open for an appointment early this coming Friday afternoon....

Agreed, DJ. It's interesting that we were originally thinking that, but then the doggie crowd trampled a new pathway and so we changed the location to where it is now after coming to the conclusion of "oh, forget it". But it seems to me that to the right with an alley over the ravine could be the ticket at least for a "white" tee. I'm not sure how early I can make it but you are correct, sir, in prescribing Friday afternoon therapy.

During a tournament the park can be reserved for an event. This does not exclude other users but gives preference to one of the users for that day, this happens with the track folks every week o Tuesdays.
A sign would be put up asking them to avoid using hole one, or to be cautious and to control their dogs, but I like the avoidance better, there is a path to the lower portion of the property.
ABOUT THE TEEPADS. I PUT UP, BY MYSELF THE $1950 REQUIRED TO PAY FOR THOSE. THOSE OF YOU PLAYING THIS COURSE I AM ASKING YOU PERSONALLY TO CONSIDER MAKING A DONATION TO HELP PAY FOR THIS COURSE AMENITY THAT IS SO VITAL TO EACH AND EVERY HOLE THEY ARE ON. MY ADDRESS IS PO BOX 115 LEEDS, MA 01053
I'M GOING TO AZ FOR THE MEMORIAL, WHERE ITS WARMER THAN IT IS HERE.

Fundraiser Discs
Part of the adventure in AZ included picking up some discs, and some signatures on them for the purpose of fundraising for the course. I think that officially I'll start a bidding war on March 17th. But to wet your palatte
A Phase 2 Spectra, with the Foutain Hills course on it edge to edge, with Signed by Valerie Jenkins.
A Champion Wraith Worlds Fundraiser Max Weight, signed by Avery Jenkins 2005 Japan Open Champ
A Elite X Buzz with the Gen 002 Huck Lab Foil Stamp on it, Eagle, Salmon, Beaver, clouds, forests etc. Signed by Oregon's Dave Feldberg, the 2005 National Tour Champ and the US Champion.
and...
A 2005 Champion Glo Roc 4 Time US Champion, signed by Mr. 11X himself Ken Climo
So something to think about, all of these discs are signed...on the bottom except Feldbergs who wrote all over the top, I would as you will want to throw them, as they have some special ju ju on them now.
I also got Larry L. to sign a Phase Two Spectra, Larry recently defected to Discraft, but the marker ran out and all he got out looks like "Lamb" but if you know Larry its totally his, but I'll never get rid of that, we were rolling.
I'll be out there in the morning quickly to help cordinate and shuffle some tools around, then I've got basket ball, but that means we can also bring back pizza.

I'm heading west this weekend to Northampton. Is the course up and playable?
