Yeah it was a great game. No doubt one of the most entertaining I have seen in as far as I can remember. But, I'm crying foul on the officiating. One of the worst officiating games I have seen all year. Missed calls, blown calls...very frustrating. Rask had an outstanding game and has shown that he will be one of the top goalies in the league in the not too distant future. But Miller...wow... he keeps proving that he is the best goalie in the world right now. Looks like he will be the best without a ring though...I just dont see them coming back from 3-1. We have lost all ability to put the puck in the net. You cant expect the guys who had 4-5 goals in the regular season to carry you through the playoffs. Our 15-20 goal scorers are doing squat this series. I'm so f'n bitter right now...too many men on the ice?? Are you f'n kidding me stafford you f'n bum...I so hope he's benched for the rest of the series. So many better players (like tyler ennis - ahl rookie of the year - awesome game last night) from portland should be playing over stafford. I need some coffee...its going to be a rough day.

Can the B's take it tonight? Miller is the key for Buffalo. Bruins have done a good job on offense, something they lacked for most of the season. I predict Buffalo win and then B's take the series in Boston in Game 6. Bring on the Flyers!

Agreed except for the part about Bs doing a good job on offense. I say they are mediocre on offense which is why this team will not make it to the SCFs. Flyers? I thought they would end up with Pittsburgh? THey have a chance against old man Bouchard and the beat up Flyers. Me likes that match up.'
Oh, and Savard has been skating for a week or two now. Expect him in the line up and expect the offense to be instantly upgraded to good.

If savard plays and vanek is still out for buffalo, this may be all over tonight. Both teams are not doing great offensively. Its been a great defensive series. Hope we can at least squeak out a win tonight to extend it. I'm not ready for hockey to be over
Stunned that philly is advancing. What a load of crap. If carter and gagne are out long term, they will (hopefully) get destroyed in the next round. I hate philly.

I actually hope that Savard does NOT play tonight or at all this series. We don't need him to win this series and bringing him back in the middle of the series could mess up the team chemistry which seems to be working.
I may change my tune if Buffalo were to win the next two, but I don't see that happening. I hate Philly too. They have played well against the Bruins historically but they won't win without a goalie and two of their best players.
IF, and that's a big if, Savard comes back, I wouldn't expect much from him at all. He hasn't skated for almost 6 or 7 weeks (?) and hasn't been able to do much conditioning either. He'll be gassed pretty quickly if they send him out there.
I think the team is doing a good job in this series. IF he comes back...wait til the next series...if there is a next series.
I have to disagree Erik. Savard will be back next series. He has been skating for the past two weeks and has another week to spend WITH the team having been cleared for contact by his doctor yesterday. He is just a wee little Canadian, he will be in fine shape and have a large impact on the team's powerplay and offense in general.
Oh, and there WILL be a next series. Buffalo does not have what it takes to win three in a row while on the ropes. They couldnt even hold a lead going into the third period for 3 games in a row.

Disagree...vanek came back from a long injury during the regular season and scored 3 goals his first game back. Ovechkin came back from a regular season injury and scored 2 goals first game back. Good players come back stong. Just like riding a bike...

Were those serious head injuries? I'm asking because I don't know.
Savard was unable to do ANY conditioning while he was out.
Different injuries require different recovery...some of which enable you to continue to condition during that time.
All i'm saying is that if/when he does come back...I think they would be much better off limiting his ice-time. You HAVE to play him...i'm not denying that....but limit his time to keep him fresh when he IS on the ice.
Absolutely. Give him the center for the powerplays. There is no one on the team that can move the puck even close to how he does it. Split his time on even strength with the other centers who are playing well. Not sure who you sit to put him on the active roster. My guess is either Begin or Sobatka.
Good point on B's offense. "Better" than recently does not mean Good.
Begin would sit first before Sobotka IF Savvy makes it back. Pretty impressive how quick he made it back to contact practice. I agree that his legs and lungs need more time. Would be nice to see Mark Stuart back as well, although McQuaid and especially Boychuck look good.

Recchi had a slip on the radio stating that Savard has been skating for a couple of weeks now. They wanted to make people believe that he just came back... its just not true. You don't go from sitting on your couch in the dark to being cleared for contact in 2 days.
I would sit Begin over Sobotka as well, just not sure if Claude would take the experienced player over the youngster. I am not sold on either McQuaid or Boychuck but they have played pretty well. It is actually surprising how well the defense has played. Wideman stepping it up has been huge.
Savvy is back next series. Mark my words. (thats how you do it right Solbo? )
Boooo....congrats all you f'n bruin fans. I hate you all....especially solbo.
Seriously, it was a great series. Vanek being out hurt, but he is only one guy. We didnt pull it together. B's played great hockey. Rask really is a great goalie.
how crazy is it that the habs tied it up with washington. That would be a crazy upset.
