I was a buzzz thrower for a long time... but I eventually fell into the loving arms of the Roc. It's nice to have one mold that hits every line.
3 DX, one new, one beat, one in the middle
1 Kc Pro
1 heavy glow for ripping
like someone said, it depends on what kind of game you're playing and what you're looking for. It's a debate that will never be solved.

I come from a land completely of pro shops.
My dog did find my DX Roc to be quite delicious however.

I've had an esp buzz for about a year now, I use it every round and frequently. It has the same flight characteristics now as it did the day I purchased it: straight as an arrow. I use it for shots from 100 to 200 feet or long down hill shots. I would never get rid of it, I know exactly what it's going to do every time I throw it.

Buzzz all day. Best disc ever made. The only time I throw a roc is when Im trying to roll one to the boat ramp across the pond at Tully. I havent got one to roll more than 5 feet yet but I'll keep trying.

Used to throw the Buzz but it got to be unpredictable for me. One htrow would go nice and straight next would fade out to the right. My Rocs do what I want them to. They stay on the lines i put them on and I find them to be more comfy in the Hand for me ROC ALL DAY

Flat top is what i throw............... Rancho's from the late 90's
Rancho is not flat. As a matter of fact, I hope that winky face is sarcasm, the Ranchos have sort of a prounounced dome, sorta like a QSent, makes them more stable.
Ontario, San Marino are much, much flatter.

I assumed that the term "Rancho" applies to where it was molded(Rancho Cucamonga, CA). Those words are clearly visible on both Rocs that i have and they are flat as a board. I got one in a player pack in 1998 and the other one(a Glo) i found a year or two later. These are original Rocs, not even close to what is called "flat top" these days.

My two flat top Rocs are just like this one, aside from the stamp.

Are my favorites, but they are worth close to $100 or more, gets risky on holes you can lose them on.
Dave
2nd this have one of each in the bag but don't throw em near water or in winter.
Some Rancho Rocs are flat as pancakes some have a dome. i Feel the ontario has a rounded edge and feels a bit domeyer than Rschos the sanny a bit less rounded than the ontario but about the same dome IMO with the ones I have. My Champ Rachos and KCs have same dome as my champ Sanny just bit differnet lips.

Easiest question to answer EVER!!!!!
The BUZZZ, preferably in Z or ESP, is the better midrange. The buzzz last 20 times longer than a roc. It also flys in a more predictable pattern because of the modified wasp mold and its durability.
I threw rocs for 5 years. I always had 5 of them in my bag that were at different stages of beat. If I didn't closely follow how much beat they became I would get angry when my straight one flipped over etc.
Now I have 2 buzzzs. One that is a little stable and one that flipps a little over.
I can't say enough about how the Buzzz is so dominant over the roc........

Last year while playing a round at Cranbury(thursday League) a player in my group asked me why I was throwing a "Roc" so much. I told him that was the only mid range disc I had thrown for no special reason at all. He said why don't you give the "Buzz" a try. I did and have never thrown another "Roc" since. Two reasons- durability and predictability of flight right off the shelf.

I agree... I don't throw a buzz cuz I like my star coyote, but as for comparison I think the Wasp is a better match to the Roc. The wasp is what I throw now because I like the consistancy of the ESP plastic. I did love my 2 DX Rocs but after hitting a few trees i never knew what it was going to do. If innova came out with a STAR version of the DX Roc I'd buy one in a sec.

You don't throw them far enough to worry about that.
Haa..little salvo on the Brooklyn side.?? You gunna take that crap from some slease from CT Mel????????
When one of my shots hits a tree, not an uncommon experience, i can't usually blame the plastic.
Anyway, I throw Roc's ,cause i know you're all dying to know, the famous ZZ Ontario stamp as well as a medium beat DX
from about 4 years ago.
Tried the Buzz Esp , I think, don't recall, and found it more overstable then my Rocs and went back to my innova plastic for a more consistent line.
However , now that Bard has straightened me out, i'm going to make the move to the buzz again , w a bit more determination this time, and move up to pro open.
