Here is what I don't understand...

People say that they moved teams so that they can play better competition or have a chance at winning the championship. Well, if you played in the b-pool and took care of business, you would still be at the team challenge finals like everyone else.

Like Stroika said, it's all up to the person that has their own take on what the Team Challenge is all about.

yeah search master..try first post of this thread..wow that was tough to find...!

so what side are "you people" arguing TC is FUN or TC is about winning...seems this league should pick a side!

and as far as the main stream thing...we are really going to tie TC into singles tourney play....big stretch there....

and I also think free agency is a joke..come on now I am an Oakland A's fan..do I need to say more

Teams playing NASA this year: Bennett, Wick, Burgess, CL, Tolland.

I'm guessing Burgess. :cyclopsani:

I guess it must be.

When are rosters going to be posted? I don't even know who is on my own team... or if I even made the team for that matter.

Gary... I would look forward to a rematch. :eye: Oh, and you have a disc in Pulpit L&F.

I don't think it's a secret but as a team member I don't run the team. I was waiting for my captain to post his roster. that didn't happen and my hand was forced when I was asked this week at Pyramids about playing for Buff. With tryouts for Buff coming up I could not let the team think my position should be saved. That would be rude.

I've tried very hard to stay away from discgolf drama including all this stupid stuff and arguements over really dumb stuff that comes from team challenge. I just want to show up and hang out with some guys/girls and compete. Do I want to win? SHIIT YA I do!

To me team challenge was about fun. Back in the first three years when everybody would get together at the finals and we had a big party, team challenge was different. Well,..things change. Teams realized they were going to have a hard time beating Buff and Wickham They started making roster moves. It started with Shane Peters, and it moved to Jason Gordon. Then there were others. Buff tried to replace Jason with Daniel Marcus. Timmy thought about going to Borderlands.

If a player is not happy on a team (for whatever the reason) who is anybody else here to tell him/her they can't play for another team.

If you are not happy with something do you not make a change?

You every move to a new state?
You ever dump one girl for another?
You ever change jobs?
You ever decide on one thing for dinner only to change your mind for something else?

I'm playing for Burgess this year and hope to contribute enough to the team to be wanted back. If not then maybe I will try to hookonto another team. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. At some point (it's probably now) my skills will deminish enough so that an upper end team doesn't want me. That's how life works.

I find that very interesting.

Burgess takes advantage of the expanded rosters by poaching Buff's old roster. Expanded rosters will also help to dilute the Frizzak effect on Utopia. Conspiracy?????

I wonder who had to be CUT to make room for these two Cape Cod "natives" ?

Just wondering is all, no response needed. I look forward to a day when all disc golfers can get along...

If that was directed at me, because you like to try and get a rise out of me, you need to get it straight. I never said travel was an issue. In fact as you know I have a car specifically just to log miles on, and I've taken it for car pool to many events.

I said, travel in bad weather to only play in bad weather was an issue. And it still is.

The only thing I said was an issue about pure travel alone was that it was stupid to make a team in Maine have to drive all the way to Warwick to play in finals. Finals should be centrally located.

Maybe someone should change the name of this thread so that any new people considering trying out for Team Buff don't think there's a bunch of drama going on already? Just a thought

Since two B pool teams will move up at the end of TC this year and two A pool teams will move down, are we going to live this whole scenario over again next fall. Will The two teams moving down scatter and join other A pool teams? If so, it sounds like quite a few of the lower level players on the qualifying A pool teams are gonna get bumped from the team theyve supported in favor of better talent. Someone is gonna get the siht end of the stick. Maple Hill did it right...take your lumps and EARN your way back. Sounds like the old Team Buff was afraid of not maikng it out of the B pool.

How about we change the Pools to

A Pool - for the winners cause that is what they want to be.

B Pool - for the losers that want to be winners

F Pool - for the players that want to play some fun, competitive golf in the winter months

Yeah, I'm with Whitey. Getting lumped in with others isn't fair. Pat, you don't really think I'm a cat do you?

I guess if you guys think that, then that's fine. Just don't think it's justified.

I agree also, Maple Hill's a good team and a solid bunch of people. If I ever come back to this team challenge thing, that's the type of team I'd want to be on.

I deleted the cat comment at the end of my post because everyone is missing the point. The point being is every team that gets demoted to B pool going to disband and join other teams. And what happens to A pool team members that arent envited to play next season in lieu of better players. The cat comment wasnt directed at everyone, Just the guys who left Buff for different teams and took the place of players that already played for that team.

I understand...getting bumped from A pool sucks but getting smoked in b pool too is just embarassing. Good luck in A pool ladies.

Was surprised not to see you on Team MH

Kinda glad though those overhands woulda sucked to deal with Sunday...

I think you were and are all great players and looked forward to finally playing against you guys A/B pool didn't matter...You woulda have been the team to beat in the B pool...and I think most of the guys who left would have been challenged by a majority of the scrappy B pool players..yes Buff woulda had an edge but it would not have been a cake walk..then you guys coulda walked on up to A pool Finals with a MISSION..seems much more fitting to at least try to go out like that..rather just disband...but that is all of your choices..hey we are happy to have Jerel..we don't even care if its "skinny Jerel" he gonna be huge for our team....

I wish team current buff the best of luck and think that was major step up by them...

and I hope all the former Buff guys are enjoying there season...

peace out on the Buff Stuff

Pretty piss poor comments Lefty, most of old Buff had to scramble just to get on a team before the season. Did you think everyone was going to wait around to see if old Buff was going to actually have a team. Most of us got on a team shortly before the new Buff was announced.
