I hope to see Bella bounding around the course again soon. I was going to post something else entirely about the Dogs of Pyramids then I read about the accident. If it's the new neighbors in the blue house across the street from the 4th tee, I think he is on the board of Friends of Newton Hill.
I wanted to ask, did many people get to hug DEXTER! like Pierre and Bella? I couldn't get near DEXTER!.
Reading DEXTER!, you have to hear Jason yelling the name.

Sending Bella Love, she's wild at heart it will be hard to keep her down. I say this in a good way, i hope she's traumatized enough to be scared of the road.

These do work well, but on such a big property not sure about that.

Pyramids played great yesterday- the sun really warmed things up (as it often does on planet earth). But warmer than the sun (at least from our perspective) was the epic fire. It may not have been the largest fire i've seen, but i swear it had the most logs in the smallest space- that sucker was warm.
Bella was making the rounds- leaned up against my leg and let me pat her on the head for about 3 seconds, then walked away at a blistering .01 mph.
The more I play Pyramids, the more I realize how hard the golds layout is. It takes more mental skill to play well than I am currently capable of exhibiting. And hole 17 is park-able, even if I got lucky. I don't "love" the narrow gap, but only in the way that i don't "love" getting a bogey. I've also seen a couple shots go off the roof in a good way- they skip up and left and get past the gap for a manageable up-shot.

I go into the shop and ask, "What's the return policy in this fine establishment?"
A strap on my Fade tourney bag ripped out and these good people replaced the bag right then and there. I paid $5 extra for the Reptilian Overlord embroidered patches on the bag. Now I am throwing longer with accuracy and I have not missed a single putt. Love the new bag.

It's exactly one year since the last post on this thread. Just wanted to say the Pyramids tees have been clear since the day after the storm. And how many players have we had since then? I think none.
We keep hoping Steve Dakai will show up with his Tee Pad Inquisition, all full of zeal and just itching to mete out some discussion page punishment. But he doesn't show, he doesn't write.
He doesn't even call.

Would it be OK if we did a next Friday teacher's and who ever has the day off tourney? Say start time 11?
I am thinking it would be nice to get out and play while we have a week off.

The sign said Bear Left.
So they went home.
Budumbum.
Seriously, we saw a bear -- two bears, a mother and a cub -- last week at Pyramids.
Gill cries, "Jason, Jason" as if he's cut and bleeding or pinned beneath the ATV. "A bear!" he says.
We run out to Hole 1 and holy smokes there was big black bear, in no particular hurry, but heading upstream in a meandering, searching fashion. We kept our distance, both of us trying to keep the other guy in front. Gill then followed Mrs. Bear down to the river by Hole 4 and saw its cub playing in the water. Then she crossed Marshall Street and her baby crawled through the culvert beneath the road, last seen heading toward Southwick Pond and pretty much Maple Hill.
True.

You should have slapped a Mst sticker on it before it left. Maybe it thought hole 4 golds was a Bee Hive.

Yesterday a group of riffraffians snuck onto the course, wouldn't show their discs to another group of members who wondered if they had stolen one of their discs, left up in a tree a few minutes before.
The group of mostly members then reported them to us, and they weren't on the list.
They drive a green Pathfinder with the license plate 22M K88.
