Phil,

Don't you mean [bleep] Ne(i)d? And let us not forget AustroliDISC-a-TOSS Afarensis. (Forgive the butchery of the first part)

Mike, I think you are hung up on the Anon vs. Nonanon thing. In my opinion, your experiences on the PDGA board had VERY LITTLE to do with being Anon vs. Nonanon. You existed peacefully on the PDGA board for a very long time as an anonymous user. The problems didn't begin until you started engaging in some very offensive behavior. The real trouble occurred long after your identity as Mike Crump had been revealed. You sent harassing PMs to a female PDGA/NEFA member and got hold of her home phone number and left harassing messages. On the PDGA board, it seemed like you were being as offensive as possible and doing everything you could to dare the PDGA to ban you, and they eventually granted your wish.

From what I saw, you basically got into a flame war with people on the PDGA board and then when the PDGA intervened, you decided to make this your personal crusade. I my opinion, the Anon vs. Nonanon issue is basically your scapegoat to use against the PDGA. When in reality, any board user, whether a PDGA member or not, anonymous or not, would get banned for the behavior you displayed.

My $.02

Piltdown Man probably got into flame wars with the Australodiscithines, but hey--they didn't have lighters back then.

Jeff L,

Your assumptions are obserd. You think that I went out of my way to call Jeanie? You are so far mistaken it is funny. I saw your post on the Ask Hawk thread about not being known by Hawk himself enough to toy with you. I simply took the same approach with Hawk and called him out. The entire episode with all conflicts is blown out of proportion and with users like you assuming, I can see why. Lets not forget all the cover ups by the Mods.

You see, this is where I come in. I see all the birds flocking with a Dodo up front. Its like cattle, and you sir are a prime example. So before you start accussing there buddy, you need to get your fact straight.

As far as my vision, you could not be further from the truth.

Jeff...Mike...GUYS! Look down at the bottom of the each other's post. That's it...way down there. See the little squarish, pill-shaped, round-cornered, boxy symbol? Great! Inside it are symbolic pictures of two little people. They look kinda friendly...at least they do to me. Do they to each of you?

It's really a button! And when you push it...something happens. But what? Maybe those two letters next to the little people give us a clue?

"PM" Hmmmmmm. Maybe you thought they were an abbreviation for "Post Meridien"...you know, like 7:00 PM. No, sorry. How about "Prime Minister"? No, not that either.

Other good guesses might be: Push Me, Page Me (close), Pacify Me (that might be nice), Please Me (that's nice, too), but alas, none of those guesses are correct, because those letters actually stand for:

PRIVATE MESSAGE

(Try it...you might liiiiiike it.)

Thanks, Phil, I'm aware of that. I think this post applies to Mike, PDGA members, and others looking to join Mike in forming a new national disc golf organization.

I don't think I made any assumptions, Mike. I only know what I saw and was directly told. Thank you for the PM explaining things. Yes, I had problems with Hawk and his buddies just like you did so I sympathize. But I can understand the PDGA's position - they had to intervene into the flame war and because you were not a PDGA member, you got the raw end of the deal. Should an organization defending a prominent paid member (a tournament director and disc golf mover/shaker in his region) surprise you? It shouldn't.

I'm not the dodo you may think - I'm pretty in tune with what's going on, and I'm aware of the PDGA's shortcomings. (They also seem to be pointed out all the time these days!) I wish you luck with your goal in creating a new national organization.

Maybe I start PiltDown Grunting Association. Members hide in bushes, pondering troublesome squabblings amongst disc throwing humans.
