The entrance to Doherty H.S. (and the parking lot near basket #1 and #18) was closed for construction on Thursday. We'll be meeting at hole 7 if it is still closed tomorrow. Park next to the tennis courts where Pleasant St. meets Highland St. and walk behind them to hole 7.
Though, If the main entrance is open I believe we will be at hole 1.

Only team captains can see that thread. You are the voice of your team for the league.

I smashed my hand on a follow through a little more than a week ago. Still in rough shape. I haven't been able to throw since except for a lefty round on MH Whites last week. The right arm injury over the winter that forced me to learn lefty may turn into a blessing.

Deuced #3 and #8, and got the 3 on #18. Pars on most of the others. Not bad opposite handed! Hope to regularly be throwing ambi if I can get it more consistant.

Anyway, don't know if I'll be playing this weekend. I want to get the RH usable for the Newton Tourney next weekend, so will be resting still. Let me know if anyone else wants to play Saturday. Maybe I'll come school you all lefty! Haha.

Not sure if I can get a round in on Sunday. Probably not. Will plan to see everyone next Saturday. Hoping I can throw righty by then.

In the mean time, we should make sure the course is in tip top shape for the tourney. Has anyone noticed anything that needs to be done (tees fixed, weed whacking, etc)?
I'll head up to the course in the next couple days to check it out myself. If anyone can think of something that needs doing let me know, I can spend a few hours next week sprucing it up. If anyone wants to help for an hour or 2 we can play a practice round after.

Rob and I played there last night and the course was looking really good! It looked like the friends of Newton hill had gone around and fixed up tee boxes and opened up some fairways.

looks like the TC captains are discussing the rosters and roster sizes... we have about 20 ppl interested so depending on the outcome of the situation we may need a "tryout" of sort.. a couple of rounds to determine a roster.. but that is just an idea

That would be most fair. As the Captain you just also want to make sure you also have a decent mix of players that would be "useful" in certain situations: Long course, Technical Course, Lefty Dominant/Flick, etc. Maybe an idea is to see if guys want to "tryout" over the next few weeks at various courses in the area. We pretty much have all of those available between Newton Hill, Buff, and WT if needed

Brad great job running the tourney. Good job to all team newton members for kicking ass. On another note never had a worse day of disc golf since I started. My performance was nothing short of funk embarrassing. Want to get a team round together asap to get some redemption. Maybe next sat. or sunday. If anyones around during the day this week hit me up I'm outta work right now so I'm around in the daytime.
