I halved the peppers for my *normal chili recipe to make it more universally palatable, but I fear that the fire might be raging. Bring tums 8-)

Apple Sausage, Bacon, Buffalo, Beer, Coffee, [bleep] tons of other awesomeness, Oh boy.

Are y'all coming up tomorrow AM, or tonight?

If your team is coming to pHill seeking a win, you should look elsewhere... we will tear you apart in every match. Then we can all hang out and have fun! Can't wait!

We will be coming up in the am, some of us are staying the night and leaving Sunday.

I would have enjoyed the hottest chili you could make. Regardless of the gut rut that might follow, isn't that right ben?

Can't wait to host a few new faces tomorrow.

In Maine we do things a little different. Instead of talking straight smack on a forum we do it on the course and in poetic verse.

Poetic submission in the works.

Our resident poet, Brendan wanted me to share a poem he wrote about the upcoming challenge:

You know it’s that time of year when the cold settles in

And icicles replace the slots where fingers have been

The winds get all gusty and the snow starts to fly

It’s the team challenge season, kiss the summer goodbye

So we pack up our gear and head to the course

Throw some discs at pins and show no remorse

For we all show up to win our home course glory

But most teams we play tell a very short story

They talk about the hospitality and the spread we put on

But losing is an inevitability that’s already forgone

They show up to have fun and meet some great folks

But somehow always come up short a few strokes.

I might have to explain why this is why it is

I’ll start with Sir Beefy cause he knows his biz

He doesn’t use a mini; he uses old cooked nasty beef

Did he just do that with a Leopard you ask in disbelief

And we’ve got Jimmy Tufts our beer connoisseur

Also part owner of Boynton also an entrepreneur

There’s mighty and most often times drunken David T-bo

Looking to help his team shoot a respectable ten below

But T-bo couldn’t manage those scores all on his own

Combined with Caleb his partner their talent has shone

We also have Bechard who drives and putts like a beast

His partner ain’t half bad, no not in the least

I could continue to list the pedigree all day

But I’ll stop myself now before I get carried away

Mr. DeAngelis can scope out the lay of our land

The barrage of our talent, you cannot withstand

We have lots of water but that we don’t fear

We’ll shoot with our eyes closed and hands full of beer

I know Microbeef and I know one thing for sure

He’ll stay out the water and he’s not premature

Peter Violet did your Mom pick a name with no rhymes?

Cause I’ve tried and I’ve tried over a thousand times.

I don’t know you at all, not even one bit Mr. Fanning

But I heard you throw like an injured Peyton Manning.

Floppy as ducks your discs float through the sky

Pushing and trying but in the end they just die

Erik I hear puts up one hell of a fight

But try and try and try as you might

Man up I do say like your buddy named Manuel

Who makes a great effort but throws like a mademoiselle

Unless we are wrong and Papa has tricks in his sleeve

Cause in the end you’ll wave the white flag I believe

But don’t get downhearted it’s the very first challenge

There might be time in the end for you to get your revenge

A very close loss, but still a loss in the end

I hope this poem did not offend.

For its all in good fun, just messing around

Don’t pop your screws and get all unwound

Cause I guess in the end it’s only about fun

Having fun with friends and getting er’ done!

There once was a team from Pleasant Hill,

With better poems than disc golf skill.

Then B2 Bombers came up 95,
To beat them with our putts and drives,

And successfully made those Maine-ards our BITCH.

(sorry it doesn't rhyme all the way through, but you get the point... :)

In Maine no team gives us fear
They all will just cry in their beer
From they woods they land in
They ask, "Hey, where's the pin?"
Sorry, can't get there from here

Love it. Drive safe and we'll see you tomorrow.

Tom, i've been told to look out for your talents... But we got some heavy hitters to take you down.

You guys should also put up your top 3 distance guys against our top 3 in a big-d contest... That wld be fun.

If someone's telling you to watch out for Tom's talents, I'm telling you to watch out for that person's mental health.

You are correct, sounds like fuzzy math. But this is what I was told.
