If that means playing a course that is not hylands then it is. I see the point about pyramids and losing money, I know I will be more than willing to throw some money in to help off set us being there if we choose pyramids. We have had saturday on the schedule for so long and many people on my team worked out their schedules for that. We wanted to have a set date for finals for that reason.

This is a fair point.

PM has been sent to Jason.

hey Jason,

The lower 6 teams of b pool are enquiring if you would be open to allowing us to use your course on sat April 14th for our finals. We haven't put it to a vote yet but first wanted to check with you. Also, would you waive green fees like you generously did for the noho - b2 match? If you'd rather not have us take up the course on a saturday, no problem. We are discussing courses on the team challenge - lower b-tier thread. Thanks!
Hi Pete,

I dunno. Wouldn't that effectively close my course to casual play? Sounds like a lot of people.

Jason

More than likely - so we understand if you wouldn't want it. It could potentially be 90-100 players. Of course that could be a lot of players shopping for discs, etc.

So ... he's not crazy bout the idea ... I am assuming he would be cool with it if we included green fees. I would still be for it, personally. I think Zoro's idea on the other thread for all of b pool to use both pyramids and mh is a sweet idea. I am ok with fees because it would be worth it for a great party location - 2 great courses, 2 pro shops, DDC, firepit, etc

i will be more than willing to pay green fee's. I will be probably chip in more than just $10. I also know that people will buy plastic too.

zoro's idea was awesome!

like i said...i don;t care where we play, just keep it on saturday. We all wanted a set date for finals so people can plan schedule....we should stick to the set scheduled date of saturday the 14th

That was Jason's nice way of saying no by the way!!
Half the people in the challenge have memberships and
I'd be willing to bet not even 10% of the players are going to buy plastic
Nor want to spend greens fee's on2 courses. I mean I love both of those courses and they are 5 minutes from my house. I still vote Sunday at Hylands and i'll
Cover all the greens fee's..honestly if you can plan for a Saturday a month from now
How hard is it to plan a Sunday ? We can play either day I just think it should be a majority vote by Captains who can speak for their teams.

Ok so no pyramids. But a date was set from the beginning. Why change it? I am sure we can find a course to play on Saturday. Why can't we follow it?

Hylands on Sunday, what's wrong with you people. Why would you want the finals anywhere else regardless of the pool you piss in.

B/c we have had a set date from the start of the season. My team had made plans for that date. Why even have rules and pre set dates if we don't follow them.

For the B Pool I'm leaning towards the half and half makes the most sense. I propose:Top team picks finals location for the top 6 and it can't be anyone's home course. Top 2 that day move up to A pool next year.Bottom half go to Hylands, because that place is awesome.

Please show me where in this post is any date set at all?
Maybe I missed something? I never saw any date set at the beginning
Of the season?

I got another response from Jason on Pyramids. Here it is: Hi Pete, Good point. Let me think about it and talk to the guys and I'll get back to you within a day or two. Thank you, Jason Cool thanks Jason. There was also talk about having top half of b pool using MH and then switching after lunch. Which would 6 more teams. Pete I realize that some may not be for this and top half may go to Maine anyway but I figure we can always vote after getting a final response from Jason. As for the date - April 14th was the date given early on - which if some teams prefer sat over sun because of work sched - I could see there point in not wanting to switch it. That said, it wouldn't necessarily bother my team I don't think.

There is a grill that lives as West T, bring your own propane and spatula. Also port a john will be in April 1st. If you bag your trash you can leave it at the main gate and the rangers will pick it up,too.

Well I think there are a lot of ideas floating around. Now that we are set for this thing here is my 2 cents....

My team doesn't mind playing at Hylands on Sunday but I do get the no one's home course thing but we personally don't care. Also Barre is thumbs up for us.

I also talked with Franchi at Flatrock and hes said that we could do our finals there as well so there is another option. Not anyone's home courses, Great location and if everyone pitches in we could have a great party out there, course is looking really nice and it will be a great time had by all.

It is going to be fun either way so let's get our ideas down and vote on this thing so our teams can have ample time to get the day off and play some disc.

Thorn is down for WT or Flatrock. Both are great courses.

If I had to choose one I would pick WT just because it seems to be more centrally located for all teams

B Pool Low Tier Finale

Post by Chris Bolton »

I seem to be the only person who thinks we need to stick to the fact that finals should not be a home course
Of a team playing?

Why does this have to be sunday. We all planned on a Saturday and then top a pool decided to play hylands where this was scheduled.

What I care the most about is the fact that we should play on Saturday not sunday.

I have understood since the start of the season that all finals regardless of pool were taking place on the 2nd Saturday on April. It just so happened that we were suppose to play at hylands but that changed b/c of the A pool. So pick a different course. There are so many great courses out there that are just as capable of hosting our finals. Hell we can all go to the brewery after and drink it up. But I just feel strongly we should stick to Saturday.
