Dude ya called me out for finishing dfl in an event you didn't play. Other than noting how classy of you it was to randomly bring up my dfl, what response did you expect? ::flower:
Back to webda talk. The course is sick and getting better w play. Come shoot better than 44 and shut Jay Nourse up!

You're right, I have no right picking on you
and I am jealous I missed the ACT, but, dry toast? Does your brother get 4 fried chickens and a coke with that? Flowers are fine but give them thorns, dude!
I wish I could play tourneys but, here comes my excuse and it's not lame like my ankle hurts, I have parental responsibilities that's keeping me from jumping in tourneys. I plan to jump in on the Horse Farm tonight, though.
Webster [bleep] DG, check it out! 44 will be beat. Not by me, nor Tim, nor Ray. Someone with class.

Re: Webster Fish & Game
Have I mentioned on this thread that the course is AWESOME!!!!
I would make a big list of all the people to thank for making this course happen, but that would be a large list.
The best way I can pull that off is to say thank you to Jason and EVERYBODY ELSE who participated in the sculpting of this course.
I played 4 or 5 holes on the course and was amazed at how much fun the course was. A new favorite for sure.
Put this one on your map of courses to play. It's a very good course. Better than most in central MA, IMO....
It's where I wish I could play my next round, fo' sho'...

Re: Webster Fish & Game
Played this morning bright and early with a couple friends.
Loved the course even more than the las time I played there.
Shot 52 and thought I played fairly well. Players are telling me shooting in the 40's is playing well. Well, oh well
Really love this course. I wanna go back tonight and play another round and have a beer when I'm done.

Awesome course, gets better the more I play it (probably because people are working so hard on it still!) ...
Would LOVE to get my Champ tie dye Orc back. Lost it around hole ... 11 I think. There's also a light blue x-out Star Katana out there, same hole I think, belongs to my brother.
Didn't see a Webster F&G lost & found thread; probably shoulda started one.

Re: Webster Fish & Game
Big fan.
Easy to find all the holes, good tees, nice new baskets, clean fairways, and more importantly for a new course is that all the fairways are very clear and there is little question to where to throw and where not to throw. Fair amount of OB. I'd like to see more variety in the holes, but seeing the terrain they had its a great layout.
I see lots of room for improvement and I fully expect to see it from this promising course.

Finally got up to check out the course. Fun to play and easy to walk. Shot a 52 and a 46 and played the second round in 30 minutes. Nice job Jason and every one else involved!

Played again on Saturday with my roommate.
Are there plans for either a map on the score card or some larger/clearer next tee signs? We got turned around a few times between a couple of the holes further away from each other.

Hello Kevin, I believe your tye dye Orc is in the lost and found box, which is located inside the red front door to the building
Hello Mike, as of about a week ago i believe the mapping was done for the new signs for the course, they are going to be very nice, also i think flags may be in the works for the tops of the baskets. As the summer goes on there will be a lot of cleaning up and well defining the of the fairways, as well as paths between baskets and tees....it's a fun , challenging course, and i'm proud to say ive been a part of it so far!
I'm a local guy who plays there frequently, and would love to meet some other guys who play there as well, say hello and throw a round or two
the Dark Blue Lincoln usually seen there is me lol.
hope to see you all out there

Re: Webster Fish & Game
Got a call from Tim at the Webster Fish & Game today. A golfer by the name of Josh Beverly found a wallet belonging to a gentleman named, we think, Brian Chenard. The wallet had a whole of bunch of cash in it, and Josh gave it all back.
The Webster Fish & Game would like to reward Josh Beverly with a membership at the Webster course till the end of this year. Tim said, "We like having people like that here."
Come to think of it, I've had a beer (just one), and I want to reward Josh Beverly with a membership at Pyramids till the end of the year.
Just because.
But I don't know Josh Beverly, or I at least don't know that I know him, so if anyone knows Josh Beverly, please let him know that his selflessness and honesty is much admired, and that the Marshall Street gang wants people like him on our course, too.

Re: Webster Fish & Game
Good evening everyone , i just wanted to take a moment to mention that today, the Webster Fire Department/Rescue Squad annual cookout was held at the Fish And Game, and with the kind assistance of Dave Jackson and the Maple Hill gang, setting us up with some loaner discs for the day, I was able to introduce about 8 new guys to disc golf...and my sons also enjoyed themselves.. it was fun watching firstimers play, and understanding where I started, they got some great exercise, and i think a few of them may have caught the bug
.... Webster needed this beautiful course here.

Re: Webster Fish & Game
So the week before the Vibram. I spoke with Tim Cullinan from the Fish & Game about starting a league there....he looked at me and sure , i love it, and you should be the guy to run with it! lol....so... that being said, This coming Sunday morning August 26th @ 11a.m., we are having the first league round at Webster Fish & Game!....i will mention that i've never run one before, but i will try to keep it simple, i will make sure the course rules are easy, and we will start with small payouts to winners, and also put some of the entry fee towards a party...i know it's late in the season, but i intend this to be a fall league as well. entry will be $5....all players are welcome, and all suggestions are welcome!
. Also, after speaking with Jason Southwick on saturday morning , we may be planning some workdays there soon....yes a brush hog will be included, and trash clean-up.....and speaking of trash , i know that there aren't too many places to throw out your trash...please take it with you, you had room for it when you got there, please at least carry it out to the dumpster, one more thing as someone who has taken a lot of pride in this course- BUTTS are LITTER-...improvements are coming!...signage is coming!

Re: Webster Fish & Game
A Sunday league sounds great. With the NFL starting in a few weeks, a lot of people will be wanting to watch Football in the early afternoon. I think pushing the start time back to 10 would give people enough time to play and still manage their Sunday football watching. Just sayin................. either way I plan to participate as much as possible.
chance favors the prepared mind

Re: Webster Fish & Game
Good evening.... after hearing and observing for myself the need to do some work on this course, i thought i would give you all a little progress update, I spent about 4 hours at the course today with a lot of ambition and a pair of loppers and a rake lol, holes 1-6 have had all of their fairways cleared of all the regrowing trees...yes that's right, you can now actually see the basket on 5!
, Adam Hassett is diligently working on getting the mapping done for all of tee signs, all the lumber is on premises to start digging the holes for signage....the course desperately needs to be attacked with a brush hog , and the guys at the Fish & Game are trying to acquire one...I would like to do at least 2 good work days at the course before the upcoming Fall Tournament, which will be announced before the weekend is over!...I am working with a local business to secure some trash containers ... I'm going to schedule Saturday September 15th and Saturday October 6th for work days...starting @ 8 a.m. both days. Hopefully these dates work for people. That's all for now!
