I like this idea...although I think the only fair way to decide playoff layout/structure is by the commish.
Todd, tell us what to do please.

2 or 4 people per team?
3 holes then sudden death? 6 holes? 9 holes?

Here is the only discussion I found on the matter. Can other people from NASA and Cran please chime in your opinion for the format?
Lets get this down so we can prepare the players involved.

Lick the "3 stooges" are acting just as Wick would if you were one of the three: just trying to prevent feeling like we're getting "Ned Beattied" by the whole process. No one wants to get bent over and squeal like a pig.

Did anyone ever tell you you got a pretty mouth, boy?

Placing an entire season on the result of one day seems flawed.
It makes the playoffs mean something. The cream will usually rise to the top anyway, but what if that underdog comes out and shocks the world? Much more exciting and gives the playoffs value. If you are scared, just say you are scared.

Stopmarvino thinks  Teams who's NOT in Tiebreaker should choose the play off formats. I like what Daniel said.... I'm sure Todd don't mind. 3 people per Team, 5 holes, best scores. If there is still a Tie go back to Hole 1 for sudden death. This should take 1 hour to find out who will take (the ride of shame). Sorry :)

FINALLY settled:

NASA, CRAN, CL*$ have finally agreed on their playoff format.

Each team will play two doubles teams - six holes - total strokes for seeding.

Start time: 7:45AM

I would estimate that semi-final action will be teeing off at approximately 10AM - does that seem about right?

HYLANDS HERE WE COME!!.

CHICAGO—Cheers to another reason to indulge in a pint or two of beer—it makes you smarter, according to a new study published in the journal Consciousness and Cognition. The findings suggest men who consume a couple of beers are better at solving brain teasers compared to men who are completely sober.

Lead researcher Jennifer Wiley, a cognitive psychologist at the University of Illinois in Chicago, said alcohol enhances creative problem solving by reducing our ability to focus our attention on something. In other words, it diminishes what scientists refer to as our working memory capacity, or WMC.

Her research team tested 40 men to investigate the effects of alcohol consumption on creative problem solving tasks. The men participated in bar game in which they were given three words and then asked to complete the pattern with a fourth word. For example, the word "cheese" would fit with worlds like "blue," "cottage" or "Swiss." Half the subjects were given two pints of beer; the other half were given nothing.

Results showed those who drank beer solved 40% more of the problems, and the completed their problems an average of 3.5 seconds faster compared to those who did not drink alcohol.

“We have this assumption, that being able to focus on one part of a problem or having a lot of expertise is better for problem solving," Wiley said. “But that’s not necessarily true. Innovation may happen when people are not so focused. Sometimes it’s good to be distracted."

Need another reason for men to drink beer? A natural compound derived from hops, xanthohumol, was shown to block the effects of the male hormone testosterone, demonstrating its potential for the prevention of prostate cancer. Moderate beer consumption also has been found to help prevent osteoporosis because it is rich in dietary silicon, a key ingredient for increasing bone mineral density.

AND LONGER IN THE SACK!

Do you really think a winless team should make the playoffs?

Honestly, Matt, no I don't, but that is how it is set up this year. My point is if this is format going forward, then you might want to consider making it mean something. Otherwise teams aren't going to show up for the playoffs or perhaps even worse, stop going to remaining scheduled challenges during the regular season if say they start off at 0-3. Playoffs should mean something. Personally, I like how they were handled last year. Everyone seemed to have a good time.
