I need a list of players attending from each captain, so I can start on hole assignments. It's going to look like this:
Hole 1:
Maine
Utopia
Burgess
Nasa
Wick
Borderlands
Hole 2:
Captain L
Tolland
Maine
Utopia
Burgess
Nasa
As you can see I'm just going in the order of which each team finished (if they were tied, first letter in alphabet). I'm going to plug in players according to the list provided so the groupings are pretty random.
What is the limit for the teams? We can bring 12 right? Let me know if you need help with anything. Since some teams will not be rolling deep, you may be able to avoid putting a group out on 11 and 12. Do you need a score port?
Is there anything figured out for lunch yet?
Do teams need to bring their own stuff?
Seems like there was quite a scramble last year in the food department.
I pounded a partially raw/frozen hamburger just to get something in the stomach.
Throwing clay and plastic since 1993
Stick in the Mud Studio
Farm Fresh

Does that mean NASA and B-land can play all 14 players?

Agreed. People played all year to try to make the finals and it would really suck to have to force people to sit during the culmination of what's been a really fun winter. Especially having to sit at Maple Hill...one of the finest courses in the region.
1. The benefit for doing better during the reg. season is having
a full squad for the top half. Bottom half gets 12... If Todd allows
the bottom half to have more than 12 people, WTF is the point of doing
good during the reg. season??? just cuz some of the top teams wont have there full 14 , doesn't mean the bottom half should get to add any.
I get what you're saying, Bobby. And I know that's the situation. Just voicing my opinion (surprise surprise). Just seems kind of exclusive to sit people when they could be playing.
Ultimately it's not a true "TEAM Challenge" if your full team isn't playing.

10 Singles Scores count. 5 doubles Scores count x 2.
OK -- that's good. I thought it was only 5 singles scores and 3 doubles scores, and we'd only get about 8 players.
i think you count your worst score over and over till you have ten....
correct?
If that's the case, we are only putting 1 person out there on Saturday for singles. They will shoot a 53 and we will just count that 9 other times. Sound good?

How does letting the player that otherwise would be sitting, play, affect the top teams?
It's only the team challenge.
The 14/12 limits were set up to fit everyone. If everyone fits anyways, the limits are simply punitive.

This.
The formula was setup to ensure the top teams would get a more fair share at playing more players. If you chose to not take that advantage that's your choice. We're only bringing 12. Also, you're really only talking about 3 people here. I think it'd be pretty weak to make those 3 guys sit.
No rules were changed. It was made pretty clear that if we played Warwick then everyone could play, I think that was one of your main selling points to convince people to play there.
