*Attention* Good afternoon everyone, just wanted to make you all aware that Hole 12 now has a Mandatory sign, which plays to the right of it...we thought it was necessary to keep it a par 4, once you clear the tree , you may play it as you wish!.....Also, there is a workday this Saturday morning starting at 8 A.M., bring some gloves, rakes and some ambition along and hopefully we can shine this place up real nice for the October 13th Tournament....big thank you in advance, hope to see you all out there!

First time visiting the course today; VERY IMPRESSED!
Great, level, clean tee pads, fair, clean and clear fairways, nice, level baskets, and lots of good options on most holes.
I especially loved the downhill and left to right shots, and the straight and mostly straight shots were the right amount of challenging.
Excellent use of elevation, where available.
For me, this is an awesome place to work on my short and medium range driving game, FH and BH. I'll be back soon, and can't wait for a team challenge match there!

Thanks Dave!.... I ran through it today with the leaf blower.....quick course update for everyone! We have successfully hosted 2 fall tournaments the Fall Open, and Fall doubles. As far as course layout is concerned, we are currently in the works to make some alternate....and I want to stress ALTERNATE pin placements, so the course can be set up in multiple configurations...always being able to switch back to the original layout. We are also exploring the possibility of adding some small rough tee pads in hidden locations on each Hole to make short , educational shots for beginners, and for players of all levels to be able to practice all sorts of approach shots , and long putts. We have also started doing some erosion control projects , so as to keep this course in nice condition for years to come. The Fish & Game Club has recently had approx 3 feet of water permantly drained from the pond to keep the water levels more manageable, which in turn will help dry out the course a little bit. I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of January 15 2013 (12/21/12 be damned  !) which marks the beginning of open burning season in Massachusetts....theres a ton of pile to burn, which means a lot of fun days of cleaning burning and $1.50 drafts!..all are welcome to jump in and help...as 2013 approaches, I plan to add 2 practice baskets and a large tee practice area near the basketaball courts in front of the future clubhouse/pro shop!... I look forward to hosting a January Neutral pool play Team Challenge event Newton/Burgess/Charlton Woods on the 26th!. I hope you al come out and enjoy Webster DGC!... one last thing, i am trying to get dogs allowed on site...I have posed the question , and I know theres a lot of players out here that have real nice dogs, and i dont have to worry about anything...more news on that soon!

That would be great if dogs are allowed eventually. I got a membership recently and dont get out as much cause my dogs need the exercise. Speaking of burning, are any of those wood piles available? I would gladly remove them from F&G.

Edit:
Been there twice now midweek for TC practice and was the only one on the course. Was wondering why I couldn't bring my dog and keep her leashed.

It's all good Jeff....my next meeting is the first Sunday of the month...I already have a bug in the ear of some of the people who need to hear it the most....there are quite a few of you who deserve to have that... and theres a lot of good people with good animals, at first i will be asking for animals to be leashed, only because i think that's one of the biggest concerns is dogs reactions to each other...and as i'm sure you have heard from others that play there...there are club members that walk their dogs out there regularly...which pisses me off!...believe me when i tell you all here..i will make this place into what it should be. The right way!

I know there are restrictions in the area about moving wood due to the Asian Longhorn Beetles. I'm not positive that this pertains to the Webster area. It's safe to assume that someone else on this forum would know for sure.

I saw a few good log piles that could be used for firewood, thats what I was asking about, those are probably spoken for already though.

Hoping to get some team challenge practice in today, probably around 1 ish. Wondering if any locals will be around for a tour or if there are any quirks to navigating that would make it easier to play solo.

Nice ace Keith!

I think there were 40 people for league last Sunday. What are the chances of that many with six+ inches of snow tomorrow? 11am. Bring it!

Hi John,

What are the current conditions like at FnG ? how much snow on the ground ? is it hard compacted or is it still light ? Do you think we should use ribbons ? Any answers are appreciated. Thank you
