Just a quick update, as of 1-12-14, course is very playable, hardly any snow out, some ice (watch your steps) but still very playable.

Keene Disc Golf Club has been meeting regularly and is growing in size! we will be having a few fundraisers coming up this year, including a Birdie bash and ace race. Plans for permanent tee pads for front 9,which will be installed this spring and one more final cut of trees. If all goes well, we may actually get to the back 9 this year. Good things are happening, think spring. For an update on club minutes please go to http://www.keenediscgolf.com/

Also, meetings are open to anyone and everyone. Check us out on our website and Like us on Facebook for updated information and gatherings. https://www.facebook.com/KeeneDiscGolfClub
2014 is going to be a good one for Disc Golf

Actually there isn't as much as you would think. Some spots are snowy, but mostly it's sketchy walking down some the steep spots because of mud, not so much snow/ice.

I would suggest to add thick ropes along the trees down the hill, so you wouldn't slip/slide down the hill.

Similar to Hyland's #13 hole but the rope is now gone... :(
Tee Off and Pay ATTENTION!!

Paul Sullivan wrote:It is located on Swansey Lake at the Pilgrim Pines Conference Center, run by the East Coast Covenent Church organization. Great place in the summer with camping area, cabins, swimming, snack bar, b ball, v ball, a par 3 golf course etc etc

Spent lots of time there as a youngster at camp, and more recently with my family.

there is a facebook page and .org website.

I used to go up there all the time too in the 90s. Had no idea there was a course there.

After what seemed like an endless winter, Otter Brook is now snow free and in pretty decent shape, the club has been hard at work continuing the endless effort to clear fairways, pole saw etc.. tomorrow am @ 9AM we break ground on the front 9 permanent tee pads, plenty of pick axing and back breaking work for all, come join the fun 8-)

Tee PAd action continues, frames are being built, pads are being dug, cosmetic work is always going on, pole sawing, log rolling etc... place might be nice someday.

Thanks Rob, and all involved. I am still hoping to get out there--please (continue to) post work days...any afternoons?--soon, but am in the thick of gallery glass production for the next month....I am trying to get in (and out!) earlier in the day--gettin' HOT in the ol' glass shop!--but it doesn't always work out. I will work on the top ten bag tags this week--sorry so tardy on those. I will re-vamp with a different color (blue for the Dam?), still with torchwork numbers, this year. Hope to see you soon! If you have club meetings, let me know too--Thanks.
