Went to club meeting today

Tee materials are gathered or being gathered

They marked the trees along access road that need to be fell to be sent off to mill
54 10' 6x6 boards

I stopped by Bob's and checked the sub base out,he has been stock piling in his yard
He just has been 7 days a week work most days double as it's his busy season

The road millings looked great and are cheapest
I told him go with that for sub grade

Stonedust for top layer

He will be staging some subgrade at bottom of snow mobile trail soon
Come July when he is less busy he will tractor/4wheeler materials directly to tee areas
Also along access road in a few spots starting at 14,13's tee,12's tee with trailer to be moved by tractor/atv later as we need
Should we do 11 from there as well or use another entrance path?
That will supply materials from 12-15

Hole 16/17/18 will be brought by ATV
Hole 10 by tractor
Holes 2/3 we will prob just bang out
Holes 4/5/6/ by tractor
Holes 7/8/9 by ATV


we in the meantime need to

measure off tee areas
dig sediment out
any raised areas outline with rocks to prevent erosion of tee materials such as tully hole 13, and hole 2 except rocks/logs rather boomlogs
anything close to first staging area bucket/wheelbarrow subgrade to tees fill in where we dug out

once trees are at mill 1-2 weeks until completed, They estimate by mid July
They won't be smooth lumber and I told him rougher might be better for slippage anyways
Boards will need to be treated before trucked out to woods
Bring all boards out to tees
Assemble frames with boards
Fill with subgrade then last 2 inches stonedust, leaving 2 inches from top of frames so we can think about final perma top layer of material next season (brick,rubber etc)

we will also need to start getting some benches built and brought to tee areas

As Keene is nearing completion of first cut by July 1st that will fit right into the game plan here

I will need a mock tee frame from light material to flag off tee areas to be dug....anything kicking around your place?
I have some scrap molding here will check lengths
Then we can get much better picture then tape measure

There is some small maintenance in meantime as well

Once we jump back to RFG I can focus on digging tee areas if you desire to do maintenance asdigging in pit is kinda one man job anyways
have a few team members that are going to help dig as well,once I get them flagged off

so productive day for sure they were out working on trees to be milled this afternoon

lumber is being milled for tees from an onsite cut

we are stock piling in garage and will be staining them soon

the sub base material will be on site soon and ready to go by the 4th of July

tee work began yesterday officially

hole 2/3 were dug to subgrade ready for fill

today hole 4 was dug

Friday hole 5/6 will be dug

going out prob every day early before the heat
all are welcomed to join

soon materials will be hauled to the tee areas

we need to wait 8 weeks for the newly milled lumber for frames to season for weather treatment to adhere

we will be creating graded off areas in the meantime that will substantially increase throwing ability

come check the scene out

I'll get out there and give you guys some work days, just keep posting when you are heading out. People don't play RFG because they are scairt, it really is a shame as RFG is a fantastic course and tee pads will bring it to championship level status.
