Bennett had a big roll in that game.

Despite 200+ yards from my RBs combined, neither of them were able to find the endzone and I lost by a handful. My Alfred Morris trade to Mike for Megatron was a total bust with Alf getting a total of one catch (PPR league) and 1 TD since the trade in week 7. Oh, how did Calvin do? Well, he just averaged a TD, 10 catches and 150 yards since the trade.

I should probably quit FF.

Ouch. Doug offered me Megatron for RGIII and I turned it down...had no interest at all in it haha. Oh well...

Matt, did that cost you the playoffs?

Bennett went for 19, Morris 9. I lost by ~6, but backed my way into the playoffs anyways.

Yes it did cost me the playoffs. Its my biggest money league that I have played in for 3-4 years and have never made the playoffs despite the fact that 8 out of 12 teams continue into the post season. All the of the players are very serious and very good at fantasy.

In my more casual leagues I still have an outside chance in one (5th out of 10) where I can get in with a win and help and am in 1st place by several games and a few hundred points. Hoping that a first place in the league where I have a good team will come close to paying for all three.

I dont blame anyone that stayed away from Megatron in week 6 or 7. Im just giving you [bleep] Eric. The Lions looked terrible and he cant get points if Stafford isnt completing passes. Kudos to anyone that gambled and bought him low though. Gutsy for sure at the time.

This year i learned im gonna do way less football leagues. I had 12,,,11 then the nefa one, all cheap ones though (50bux or less). Way too many situations came up where i couldnt root for players on my team because i was going against the same players but they were on someone elses team. Even this week i had two teams on the bubble and Peyton Manning got me into the playoffs in one league but knocked me out in another. crazy. Lesson learned, too many teams takes away the fun factor. Next year im going 2-4 teams max.

Baseball is another story. Im one of those baseball freaks so if anyone is looking for a good active league next year, lemme know.

12? Yes, that is too many no matter who you are. I think 2 or 3 is the right amount to maximize fun and minimize frustration and time.

The NEFA league was my 3rd league, and for the exact reasons Doug mentioned, I won't do more than that. Even 3 was a little annoying at times.

So in my big(ger) money league, the 4 playoff teams are locked in with one more regular season week left. Surprisingly, the 4 of us all square off against eachother this week to determine seeding. I'm locked into the 4 spot, and am playing the current 1 seed. If I lose, that person is guaranteed the 1 seed and I would play him first week of playoffs. I looked at the other teams, and he has the worst matchups in week 15 (first playoff week). If I won and let the 3rd place team vault into first (if he won this week), I would be going against a team with RGIII, AJ Green, Andre Johnson, Dez Bryant, CJ2K, Bradshaw, Leshoure, and Harvin. I'm thinking that team will eventually win, but i'd rather lose to them in the Championships vs 1st round of playoffs...

Is it wrong of me to not throw my best players in to try to get that favorable matchup in the first week of the playoffs? Again...i'm not playing for anything (i.e. seeding) other than pride and to knock him out of the top seed - which may be a moot point because he could still get it with a loss.

In my opinion you play the game. Put out your best roster and see where the cards lie after MNF.

Ya that's what i've been battling with in my mind. It's the type of thing, though, that IF I did play him in the first round of the playoffs, I would be able to take the loss a lot better having chosen my own fate instead of kicking myself with the "what-ifs".

The other part of me is saying i'm foolish to not try and go for the better match-up. The win does absolutely nothing for me and only helps other peope as I'm locked into my 4th seed.

As far as the line-up goes...my bench produces week in and week out. My "optimal" lineup last week would have had majority of my bench players in the starting line-up over a good chunk of my starting roster.

My lineup if I didn't play my top-dogs would be as follows, and is currently projected to WIN by 1pt.

Brees
Decker
Floyd
Jacoby Jones -kr/pr yards count
Charles
Ballard
V.Davis
Morris
Turner

That's still a very manageable line-up and can pack a punch.

alright, not sure why i didnt get involved in this forum earlier, but anyways, playoff time, here is my dilemma...

WR: Definitely going to start Andre Johnson and Dez Bryant, but for my 3rd not sure what to do, right now i have Hakeem Nicks, Anquan Boldin, Greg Little and need to either choose one of them or pick up someone else, hakeem has been hit or miss all season, but so has anquan and greg i mind as well drop at this point

TE: i have Vernon Davis and Greg Olsen, last week i started Vernon thinking there was no way he would funk up 2 weeks in a row, but sure enough, he did and i lost my match by 0.38...awesome, someone please confirm i should bench his ass

K: I have Lawrence Tynes and Justin Tucker, both have been alright, not sure who i want to start

D: I have Laurinaitis and Jerrod Mayo, Mayo seems to be the more consistent, but again, not sure who ill go with..

Any and all input is welcomed..

Who is available on the WW at reciever?

I like Tynes vs the saints this week a lot. But the kicker is pretty much a crap shoot. Tynes is the 1 rated kicker in my league, so that's who I would run. Lots of double digit weeks under his belt already and pts are going to be going on the board in that game. Baltimore and tucker away from home I don't like so much, but his stats don't have as much of a noticable split as Flaccos do.

For TE....that whole position is a mess and has been most of the yr. Those two are probably right in the same ball park. I like Olsen better though, Newton has been tearing it up lately and some of that might go Olsen's way this week. Most of the rankings / projections I've looked at have him rated better this week.

I'd go with:

Nicks, he's just too good to bench. Much higher ceiling than Boldin and Little has been a bust.

Olsen, Cam seems to like him. Davis is better, but San Frans QB situation has messed with the offensive flow.

Tynes/Tucker. Flip a coin.

Laurinaitis. Much better matchup vs the Bills than Mayo with the well balanced Texans offense.

I am hesitant due to the match up actually. I figure they might get up early and not need to throw. You know the Lions will have to hurl the rock around quite a bit to keep pace. As of now it is Stafford, maybe think about Luck.

I'd be hesitant with stafford just because after Megatron, there's really no one else (does there need to be though? )

Titus Young has been sent home for the year
Broyles tore his ACL and is done for the year
Burleson done for the year

The only other options are Pettigrew and Mike Thomas

I like Luck and the likes of Hilton, Wayne, Avery, Allen, and Fleener.

Pick three: Jamaal Charles, Matt Forte, Fred Jackson, Darren Sproles

Pick two: Cecil Shorts, Golden Tate, Mike Wallace, Darius Heyward-Bey, Jordy Nelson

Mike Thomas, Nate Washington, Riley Cooper, and Andrew Hawkins are pretty much the best of the waiver wire.

Playoffs this week and I'm hurting at RBII: Sproles, R. Bush or J. Bell...none of them have favorable match ups this week

Smolin: Charles, Forte, Jackson. Shorts and Tate - I'd consider taking a flyer on Hawkins with Sanu out of the picture and Green getting all the attention from the defense.

Drew: Take a chance on Bell. He's produced when he's touched the ball and is going against a weak(er) run D. Ya he's behind Leshoure but he'll still get his 8-10 touches and is a bigger receiving threat than Leshoure. I'd go Sproles next over Bush.

I am just about convinced on Luck over Stafford, although the primetime nature of SNF intrigues me.

Last question...

Need one for a flex spot.

DMC
Knowshon Moreno
Golden Tate

Leaning toward Knowshon here. Thoughts?

Knowshon or Tate.

Knowshon took the bulk of the carries something like 24-5 last week over Hillman, and is a better pass-catcher. Also gotta factor in his "fresh" legs from not playing much this year...agains Oakland giving up over 4yds per attempt against the run and no Seymour for them this week. Matchup looks juicy.

Tate somehow manages to make at least one play each week and has a knack for finding the endzone, but I think Knowshon has more upside here.

Knowshon....I wouldn't go near DMC this week.

Who you guys like at TE......I have Kyle Rudolph and Jermaine Gresham......it still pains me to look at that position knowing I might not see Gronk in my lineup again this yr.

Those arent bad options for losing Gronk. I would go with Gresham. I have a similar situation. Gresham or Myers. I think I am going with the hot hand in Myers coming off a monster week.

Kyle Rudolph all day. He is like a miniGronk and with Harvin out for the season who else is there to pass to? Last few weeks have been good.
