do you know how late the burrito place is open?

Yeah, I'm glad you're coming!

I don't know about the rated rounds. Try asking Jason on the tourney post? I'll post this over there for you...I hadn't heard about shortened/long tees. As far as I know, they all will be the same (but don't quote me on that!)

La Veracruzana--www.laveracruzana.com - (413) 586-7181
they didn't post a time on their website! but I would it's open until around 9pm.

Right next door is The Dirty Truth--http://www.dirtytruthbeerhall.com/
an amazing selection of beers on tap. Food menu, too (mussels and fries = mmm, good.) This place has no sign. Food 'till 11pm

Northampton Brewery. Good. Predictable but good.

I can review more, if anyone wants me to.

So, who's coming? The only ones I know of:
me
Kristi B.
Heather E.
Marcy B.
Jenilee?

Yes, this is a nefa points and pdga (although for pdga, it says "pending" on their website, so I don't really know what that means).
Originally I was going to run this tourney, but gave it up in January (I didn't want to add to my life's stresses). So Jason Johnson is running it all by himself. That's why I don't have any of the info about specifics (or can't change the date on the forum listing or add to the names of who's attending)...his cell number is on the tourney info page if you have any q's for him.

Heather
how do I get on the bag tag thinga-ma-jig on discgolfscene? I just want to make sure I waste MORE time on the computer, and this seems like a very logical next step.

leslie- my bad. i thought you were still co-TD at northampton. i'll bombard JJ with my 1000's of unanswered questions in the morning ;)

discgolfscene + women's bagtags = FAIL.

i stopped updating that whole thing... if you play more than one round it's not a flexible enough site right now. for example, after 2 rounds if you shoot 108 and i shoot 110 that's considered a "+54" and a "+56" because you have to associate every score with a specific course. but you can create a profile and join the NEFA women's bagtag club, which means nothing but you'll heart the logo!

still... it's a good site to keep track of your season's progress, personal bests, etc.

Aha- thanks. I did happen to admire the logo. Needs refinement (actually I saw it and immediately started to visualize a better way to display this, but I digress once again).

I believe the best way to get Jason's attention—with your one thousand questions—is to call him. Since it's on the tourney page, here it is: 413-320-3386

Ladies I miss you all dearly. I feel like it's been forever since I've been to NEFAland, even though it was only February I was up there.

I'm so happy to see that there are a ton of new ladies out this year. Also utilizing the intermediate women's division. Nicky has been kicking ass this year! Congrats to you!

Still trying to come up for the Greater Hartford Open, just not sure if I want to deal with the mass herds at Wickham of peeps picnicing. Will anything be done about that on the course or are we just going to yell fore on every hole?

It was great to get out yesterday and play with *seven* other women at Hodges...and on a weekday besides.

As promised, I set up a little club and league thing on The Disc Golf Scene website so we can track our league progress. If you'd like me to link your scores to your account, please send me your email address. Also, please let me know if you'd like to be a "staff" member, too, so you won't always need me to update data on the site. =D

women ctp prizes for Northampton tourney!!!!!!

hey there ladies,
I just picked up a delicious 1 lb. container of local honey for a women's ctp!
(last year at a tourney I won honey from Heather Eng and must say it was and still is one of the best ctps ever-even the ants like it!)

If you are interested in doing a ctp, let me know / pass it on to me--I think Jason has so much on his plate that I'll set this up for the women. (btw-depending on how many ctps there are, we can break it up into divisions)

Heather-I believe the ams and pros are playing diff. layouts and it looks like it's very similar to the last tourney here. I'm not privy to the inside-outs of it all...but since all the ams are going play one layout, then it seems like there's enough for pdga rating? (not quite sure how it works). IF, however, any lady wants to play in the pro division, you're still investing only $20 AND I'd like to think you'd be in good company

VT Next Weekend May 30

Post by Anne Lewis »

Hey Ladies-

Wanted to encourage those coming up for the Sap Bucket next weekend to come early (Kristi, Michelle, Heather, Wendy)-as early as thurs night if you want-I have friday off and it would be fun to play all day at whatever courses around-and Dave thought some mixed doubles at Waterbury in the evening would be a good idea-and then of course dinner at the Alchemist our fav brewpub!! Let me know your travel plans-house is open-we can even set up a tent for 2 with comfy air mattress besides the 2 guest bedrooms!! I am hoping all the apple blossoms on the Waterbury course stay til next weekend-it is smelling so sweet there!

Hi Anne!

I, too, need to work out a few remaining details with Don. Our doggie arrangements aren't working out too well, which might ultimately jeopardize our trip. :( I'll drop you a note once we know our schedule for sure.

In the meantime, I can't thank you and Dave enough for going above and beyond your call of TD-duty, but we'll make it up to you, my friend, we *will* make it up to you. :D

I was all about getting up there on Thursday, but alas Michelle as "0" vacation days left, so our plan is to leave Friday at noon and be up there 4-5ish.

P.S. We will be closing on our new home on 28th, so we could move in that weekend, but Michelle said no, we've been trying to make it to the sap bucket for 4 years, and buying a house aint gonna stop us!!! (I love my wife :D )

Hi Ladies-

*Warning* This post is completely off-disc-topic, but I thought some of you might still be interested anyway. Most of you know Don and I are holding a charity event at the brewery in Sturbridge, MA next month in order to help me raise money for a two-day 180 mile bike-a-thon that benefits cancer research through the Jimmy Fund. In additon to that event, Hylands has also very graciously offered to let me use the stein hall to help us females "Ditch the Workout and Join the Party". Yes, my friends, it's ZUMBA at the brewery!!

The Stein Hall is closed on Monday's, but they're opening the doors just for us every Monday from 6-8PM (for Zumba-ites only--no window-lickers, please). The first hour will be a jam packed fun-filled cardio session that will make you forget you're actually sweating the calories away followed by a second hour of...well...you guessed it--beer, wine, or H20. Class is only five bucks and every dollar raised will go towards my Pan-Mass Challenge fundraiser. So what are you waiting for? Grab your sneakers and a towel and get ready for great fun off the course! I hope to see some of you...at least occassionally. The first class begins on Monday, June 1st.
