Fabulous, IMHO. We had a great turnout of players and volunteers. We were able to feed them all and quench their thirst. The silent auction was fun and the weather was somewhat okay. Overall, we were very successful with the fundraising. I'm proud to look back on all our hard work and know we were able to keep it together. Thank you for asking, but of course I missed you! We had three female teams, though, and nine in total showing. Yeehaw.

Heather--you are tremendous! I just logged into my PMC profile this morning and was taken back for a moment. Thank you so very much for making the first official contribution to my fund last week!! And thank you even more for taking the extra steps to recruit additional funds from your employer. It really means a lot to me.

alright my mom and I are officially signing up for the USWDGC!!!

Just to throw our plans out there - We're planning to stay in the host hotel AmericInn and I think we're flying into Chicago (Midway) on Wednesday morning (arriving around 11am) and back out Monday morning (at around 9am). We are also renting a car - if anyone needs a ride around those times just let me know!!!

Southwest is currently offering some pretty cheap flights from Manchester to Midway
$89 dollars one way - i hadn't seen anything else close to that cheap...

I would love to go to the USWDGC but I got the ol' calculator out and (sigh) it is not meant to be this year.

I have at a few dollars for the NEFA USWDGC spot, and there is some more $ that was pledged, but hasn't been yet collected. I hope we can continue this "tradition". I also hope that NEFA provide some financial support for the spot (hint, hint).

Marielle, Wendy (?) and whomever else is going to go--have a blast! Represent well!

Becky-how does one get a free entry?

I won my free entry through PA State Championships this year.

Good luck to all ladies that are traveling down south to play the Jersey Jam. Per Kit's message, there are 13 am ladies that are signed up! I wish I could come up on Saturday and walk around with you gals, but I will be in Delaware.

Not sure if any ladies will be stopping by on Sunday?

...grip it like you don't want anyone to take it from you (literally, it works), stand at the front of the tee (no approach steps) foot perpendiclar to line of flight, and in the lovely words of dan "connect the dots" i.e. pull the disc across your chest nipple-high. i can say nipple, right? you only need ~50% arm speed when you get the disc to the center of your body... then snap to 100% arm speed at the point of release.

Heather, apparently my wife(Carolyn) has been watching more than just me  at tournaments lately........ Out at Jpark this past Sunday we were out on a casual round and she mentioned that she was watching your drive style and tried to copy it with great results. After a few missed release points from the increased armspeed, she let one rip that all the guys HEARD an audible "snap"......... we walked off a near 200ft shot!!!!
Anyway, she sends her thanks for improving her game........

aww, thanks :D. very impressive progress, carolyn!

not rushing through the beginning of the throw really helped my game (i attribute that learning to my friend sharon jenkins). a little control goes a long way in these tight new england fairways. good to hear that us women are learning from each other.

NICE SHOOTIN' WENDY BOUTIN!!!! I've been meaning to post that all week. She represented all of us at the Tournament of the Dams last weekend. She shot 3 solid rounds with the HOT ROUND of 58 from the Pro Tees at Buff! I think she even tied her husband that round! Just wanted to congratulate her and warn everyone else.....watch out for Wendy!!!! :D

Wow, Nicky...thanks for the congrats. I was very bummed to not have any estrogen company, but on the other hand it was nice to play a tournament with Don and be on his card for all four rounds! Oh yeah, and we started on hole one at every course, too...don't think I'll ever see that happen again, but it was pretty sweet while it lasted. That 58 at Buff from the Pro tees was simply amazingly fun! Thanks again!

Once again, thank you to all who've written such kind words about my last few rounds. We've all had pretty sweet rounds here and there in our little discing careers, so it's really not that big of a deal, but thanks for making me blush anyway!! You all rock!

I'll be at finals...
I believe that Jordan is planning to play. Last I knew both Heather and Anne were planning on coming...

It's two very fun courses - definitely worth playing - hope to see you all come up to Maine!!!
