Maureen, you are too funny! Ok so the secret to staying so-fresh and so-clean is the following combination...
1. Start your washer, water should be filling the tank.
2. Add a capful of Arm & Hammer Naturally Fresh liquid detergant.
3. Add a capful of Ultra Downy Clean Breeze (blue bottle) liquid softner.
4. Let water dissolve liquids a little.
5. Add not so fresh and not so clean laundry.
6 Let the machine do the work.

This how I stay so-FRESH & so-CLEAN!

It was very fun playing/hanging with you and Heather at the Ice Bowl! Hopefully our paths with cross again soon!

I have a friend from Portland Maine, a female Int/Adv Am who is looking for a partner for the Minuteman. Her name is Colleen Halloran, she started playing tournaments up there last year and is pretty serious about her game. She will be coming down the Friday before the tourney to play at Borderland, so you could meet her and strategize! Let me know if you are interested and I will put you in touch with her.

Thanks,
Michael

Wow, had to resurrect this thread from page two...anyways, I just wanted to send out an invitation to any ladies that may want to come play at the Sap Bucket VIII in Waterbury Ctr VT on May 15th (PDGA C Tier and NEFA), we are more than happy to have any ladies and their partners stay at our house-we have a couple guest rooms (well one taken already by Heather!! :D) and plenty of space for tents or vans or what have you...I think last year we were lucky enough to have the Engtrobs, Bayers, Boutins, and Alas.... We live 2 miles/5 mins from the course. If you are at all interested I would advise you to register soon as we fill easily and we have alot of Canadians that come down to play...

Cheers!!

Hey KBayer-

Definitely let me know when you are headed to VT, the grounds are pretty much clear of snow on the disc courses, and the mud is starting to dry out well. We could play Johnson State College's course again....Waterbury is closed until May 1 as usual. Or we could head down to Randolph (played there last night...fun little short course). Keep me posted.

Newness

Post by Kiara Sears »

Hello y'all. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at the May Madness, dragon, and borderland tournaments. This year I'm in the advanced women division with a pdga rating of 824. Hoping to make new friends and some plans to play in the future. I also wanted to give a heads up to any of you that read this (before we meet) about part of my status so there aren't any surprises. I have gender idenity disorder and I'm transitioning. I would prefer that everyone use feminine pronouns for me. I'm not a big fan of discussing LGBT topics. After years of people gawking and hearing "what are you?" type questions, you can understand its become a really tired subject. But I love talking about disc golf, beer, music, pets, environment, fungi, mary j, Buddhism, and whatever else. I'm not going to tell you what to say or think though. To each their own, right? I greatly appreciate your understanding.
I live in providence rhode island an go to Maine regularly to see my parents. So those are the areas I've played so far. id love to go play some new courses if there's anyone who wants to throw together.
Can't wait to see everyone out on the courses! Gotta go, gotta throw.

Hello James!

Welcome to the New England disc golf scene! I think you'll enjoy playing with the Advanced Women - they are a great group of women!

Look forward to meeting you at Topsfield (Pye Brook)!

On another note to all women - Last year I think we had one of the biggest pro women's fields at Borderlands - I plan to sign up again soon - Let's see if we can top last year!!!

hey marielle - it seems as though my brother and sister-in-law are selling their house! they live near borderlands and maple hill and obviously didn't ask me about the move beforehand :)

so, this makes plans to massachussetts a little difficult for the next few months. borderlands is out for me as we have nowhere to stay, and a 2-day, A tier the weekend before in pennsylvania. maple hill 5 is also out for the time being but we may swing something...

we are going to head up to the bennett farm championships last weekend in july though - will anyone be around for that one?

what's everyone else up to?

pro jersey jam day is july 18th - the USDGC new jersey rep is decided at that tournament, so we'll most likely be headed there. we are headed up to maine for the Bennett Disc Farm tournament at the end of july.

other than that, we're taking it easy! we just had two A-tiers in a row down here and i'm hurtin...

thanks for the heads-up anne :)

Hi Ladies!

Hope you've enjoyed your winter. I'm writing to guage your interest in supporting the first Women's Global Event in our region. It's designed to engage women across the globe to play two rounds of disc golf with each other virtually, yet at their own local event. You compete locally and globally with disc golf women of the world! I also recently read Innova is giving women a disc for participating. How cool and fun is that?! If you haven't read about it yet, you can get a few general details here [and by drilling down into the links on this page]: http://www.pdga.com/women

The date is Saturday, May 12, 2012 . I've reached out to Dave Stidham to see if we could offer the opportunity to our women through the Tully Tournament because its already on the calendar. If that doesn't work out, we will pursue other options in the area. The big question is: Do you have any interest in participating if we can make this happen? You do not have to be a pdga member to participate.
