The list is DONE and the course is ready! Matt and I finished preparing the tees this morning. Filled in #1, 12, 14, 15 with dirt to help the drainage. I was surprised how little water has accumulated on the course, but since most our tees are natural, there are a couple slippery parts.

We also spread all the woodchips on 5s tee, so now it is again playable and looking better than ever.

Unfortunately VANDALS stuck again and we are missing the tee for #15. Can someone please find and destroy these people!?!

Pretty good. Tees for 13-16 are mud piles but the rest are OK. No snow really. One tree hanging high a little in the way on 11.

Played today for the first time in months... forgot how great this course is. Let's get those tees done!

I played a round today, in the rain! Except for a few tees, not all of 'em, it was fine! If you just stay away from the center parts where its worn down or well traversed, where its the wettest, as long as you have good gripping shoes, you'll be fine!

CEMENT TEES APPROVED

Post by Adam Goodman »

Tonight I proposed and was granted approval to install the remaining 16 cement tees! They will be installed in several phases during the spring and fall over the next 2-3 years (or as quickly as possible). This project will be funded by private donations, bag tag sales, and possibly a fund raising tournament.

Congrats Adam!!! This is going to be an awesome addition to a great course. I think the tee pads installed on 17 & 18 are great, getting the rest done will allow this course to be that much more playable in bad/wet weather conditions.

Probably, first tees in could be, 1, and then 15, which can be the worst! 5 is easier to access, if it's where you want it. Gonna be a lot of mixing concrete on site in wheel barrels, or on the ground.

although layouts are always changing, i think scofield and i have doubles course record with 11 under. We had 1 spit out(hole 9) and hit basket another 2 times(holes 1/4), played long tees everywhere and then new long tees on hole 5 and 16...

course is looking fabulous. New 5 hole is great, much more fair, but remains a difficult 3. Hole 7 becomes much more testy and requires , in my view, a well placed flick for righties in order to hold the steeply sloped fairway, but still offers a birdie run for big arms.
Backing 15 to the wall makes that hole an even tougher 3, requiring a long well placed drive to even have a chance. Ck it out!
Big thanks to Adam and crack B-port crew.

Thanks for the review Matt, I agree with all that. Positive changes!

In case ppl want to know what is left on the COURSE TO DO list, here it is:
1) some minor general clearing on sides of fairway in the woods (to make retrieving discs easier)
3) rake out the new broken glass on green
10) need a nice wooden MANDO sign with arrow. Anyone want to help with this?
Remove drywall trash someone dumped. Mr. Novia wants to load his truck and move to Park Ave for Parks Dept. to take away.
I will weedwack some here too.
11) Need someone with a long ladder and polesaw (I have an old one) to remove a some high branches.
13) Need someone with a long ladder and polesaw (I have an old one) to remove a some high branches.
15) clean up right side of green where tree fell
16) I will weedwack some here.

Additionally, I could use some help clearing off the OB line on 17 and I will place rope again for OB on 14.
