11:00 a.m. start is too late for me. I have a family at home that actually likes me around  Was fine with the 9:00 a.m. start. but am willing to compromise with a 10 a.m. start. Any takers for 9:30 a.m. ?

This is gonna be a fun challenge, havent seen many of you in a while, and it'll be nice to put some faces to names on the board.

For lunch against Buff we ordered pizza which we enjoyed back at todds house, Team Burgess' treat. We can do that, OR grill out, Todd's house is literally walking distance from the first tee.. and as people are ready to go for the second round... they can just walk on down.

Up to you guys.

Whatever you wanna do for lunch will be good for us. No special requests, veggie etc, and we are easy to please with the lunch spreads.

Thanks to the burgess guys for showing us a great day of golf, even with poor results on our part. Many of the matches were close to the end so IMO the final score isnt as telling as how things shook out. Also thanks to Todd for letting us use his huge basement/ampetheater as a crash pad during lunch. Getting out of the wind was a huge plus, even if it meant ripping my sweatshirt on the way over.

Yay to Dave James, our sole point winner, for keeping our 1-point per challenge average going strong!

Andy is right, we hung in there, especially during dubz. Donnie and I came back from a 2-hole deficit to tie it with one hole to go. They made a sweet pressure-filled putt thru the wind to force an eventual 6-hole playoff (which we obviously lost). I loved the gallery we had for the playoff and loved the pressure of it all. Very fun!

Arty and Gags took their match all the way to the last hole too, I think, but came up short.

Thanks for the hospitality, Burgess. See you in the playoffs.

Had a great time yesterday. The Burgess players are good competitors and a good peeps to boot. Even that Solbo guy. Enjoyed playing with Josh R. and Todd L. in the first round. If I knew how to putt at all I think I would have given Josh a better match. Hats off to Gags for giving Todd a good scare. Also had a great time playing dubz against Drew A. and Cow. Not sure what that name is all about, but man was it a fun round. Drew said “we don’t lose” at home and man did he back it up. Took them to the wire, but they held us off. Played a bonus round with Brian H. as my partner and that at least earned me $10 toward some gas money for the ride home. I’ve never played with a more confident and loose partner. He even gave me some valuable tips on my putting game that seemed to work out pretty well. The lunch and post-challenge after party at Todd’s place made for some good laughs. Thanks for the pizza. It hit the spot.
