hmmm I think we could deal with that, the triples match should be worth 3 points then (if singles is 1 point and doubles is 2, then it only follows).
I'm willing to do that, plus it means we don't have to screw one player and make them the cali and not enjoy the social atmosphere that doubles provides.
Unfortunately for EK, what happened in Vegas did not stay there, namely his injury. Soooo, we will only have six for the challenge. Sorry once again. Still looking forward to the challenge.
It looks like we will have people sit for the first time and I guess I've got to figure out who that is gonna be, everyone will definately play at least one round though.
Can anyone from Tolland only make the morning or only make the afternoon? I want to make sure everyone plays so if you can only make one round let me know so I can make sure that you get in there.
Borderlanders I hope your teammate recovers quickly

I will be there. What time is the challenge anyway? 9 or changed to 10? Is the doubles, triples format change a definite? Is there a chance this challenge will get changed back to Saturday? Looking forward and go to the link below to donate food to pets daily.
I'd prefer the afternoon round (dubz or tripz) so I can get some skool work done in the morning prior to showing. When do you anticipate the afternoon round starting?

There are a handful of places with a mile or so. I was thinking about just stopping at the Big Y tomorrow and grabbing a bunch of lunch meat we can just throw some sandwiches together? I know people wanted a quick lunch.
Does this sound good to everyone?
If you guys need directions once you get close or if you get lost or get a late start, you can give me a call (440)213-9022.

Thanks team tolland for hosting. This course has gotten a bad rep. It really is quite fun, there is a clear shot intended for each hole. Sure it is fluky in parts, but it all evens out in the end. I enjoyed playing a new course and look forward to the next tournament there.
Thanks to Allen and Team Tolland for a fine competitive day of golf - it's always nice to put more names with faces and to gather for some spirited play. Coming into the match, I wasn't sure what to expect from the course with everything that I've heard about the tree's, tight fairways, etc ...
I have to say that I really enjoyed the course. There are certainly tight fairways, that is for sure and I would think that over time, some of the tree's that make some routes very difficult to navigate will be carefully taken care of - I remember many discussions about many fairways at Borderland when the new layout was in it's infancy but those certainly seem to have subsided over time under the mantra of careful tree maintenance. I'm not really sure if there were any holes that I stepped up to at Tolland where I couldn't figure out what I needed to do - granted some of those shots are very difficult to make but I'm willing to give it time and will certainly be back to play the course again in the future.
I agree with what Rob and Mike said. The course has gotten a bad rep, but it is not deserving of it. A lot of great holes out there and a couple of holes that could lose some limbs, but all in all a fun course that I look forward to coming back to play again.
I figured that Blanders could appreciate Tolland. Some of the bad press reminds me of my feelings of being "pantsed" the first few times I played Borderland in 02-03'. (I never blamed the course) Obviously, it's a little tougher when everything fills in during summer but over time it's going to get better. I've always liked Tolland and it seems to fit my game better than, say, Maple Hill which picks me apart.
It was nice to get out and play on solid ground for a change. The tees might have some lumps that remind me of trashed pitcher's mounds but without a foot of snow on the ground it was like BUTTAH!
It was nice to see Mike D play for a change, his short game is awesome. The Matt's were unstoppable yesterday! I didn't get to watch but words like "killed", "slaughtered" and "blown out" we're being used by a few team members.
Jeez, they must still be hurtin'.....................
Blown out is certainly one way of putting it. BUUUUTTTTTT.... I had a great time yesterday. I was telling Mike D. that it was a little cold and windy as hell but it was sooooooooo nice to be able to step on solid ground. Also, had a blast playing with Mike both rounds. I've never played with him before and he was a class act all the way.
Sorry I didnt show up and give ya any competition Mr. DEA ngelis and finally showed up a little playing with Shane, Mike and Matt which didn't matter much as team Stroika/Dussault tied the doubles record with a 49. If there weren't monster winds all day who knows what they would have come in with. See you all during the season.
A big thanks to Steve G for getting us the one and only point in his heads up match.
