Re: Joralemon Park to expand to 27 hole course
after discussions with my teepad campadre(cupcake)
without a solider course..your gonna have a seam..the one down the middle..
that said if your grade is soft or not proper in middle..ya get drastic bow down..if edges are soft..then ya get bowed up in middle..and low on sides..ya I know basic stuff..but crucial
If ya could somehow create a solider course with smaller brick around edges and down middle..might help..OBV need to measure boards a lil to prevent cutting bricks..would give ya lil more room and kinda be cool as the design would be semi unique
solution 2...dig out 1 foot extra around all tees..spread your grade material..stone dust/gravel out to this edge..and then compact the heck out of it to ensure proper compact..if ya form it off then grade the edges tend to not get as compacted as they should unless ya got edging tamp...of course ya can't do your final grade for bricks until ya form it off..but at least the base will be strong and the edges will undermine less...also be prepared to fill/woodchip around tees if not built to grade as the inner grade material under bricks will erode out and cause sinking..
just some thoughts from past adventures
also the rebar after thinking about it is kinda moooot(I did one with rebar and said yeah that suxed and did nothing really..and the ones the contractor did that now gotta be moved and have 3 feet of rebar in 6 spots is a pain to move!!)...it messes the level up of your frame..and harms wood if ya don't have rebar hammer..kinda special tool...or ya drive em down then grind em with a cutting wheel..as sawzall kinda sux..trust me...and if they are being filled around as stated above and are not on cliff, high water area..it will make for headaches..so elevated and high water only IMO..and in a sense the bricks and dust and surrounding fill lock em in..even on elevated ones..the side it could slope to is only place needed for rebar..
well anyways..GL any questions feel free to ask

Re: Joralemon Park to expand to 27 hole course
Played the new set up today. Very nice! Shot 86 playing 27 holes. I loved all the holes except 18. Can't win em all right. Keep up the good work. I played with some non-big arms that were a little bummed that there were not a lot of dink and dunk 2 ops, just as a FYI.

Are there any events at Jpark tomorrow? A group of us are considering heading out that way. Thanks.

Nothing planned in the disc golf world but the pavilion may be rented for a party.
