Great series indeed. It was good to see the Bruins step it up after such a rough second half of the year. They played rather sloppy at times and it cost them (first 2 buffalo goals).
Recchi and Bergeron played incredible hockey for the B's in this series, and Rask was lights out.
Buffalo has something special in Ennis. Must be fun to watching him play on a daily basis...and Miller too.

Yeah, Ennis is going to be a great player. He actually spent most of the season in the ahl. Not sure why, hes clearly better than half the guys on the team. I think I heard that he is the smallest player in the nhl. We have a good group of young guys, which hopefully will pull together next year...I guess its time to watch baseball.
and in the end
we have learned
to love the journey
and not the destination...
In the end, my friend, we will all be together again...

Guess I'm the only one disappointed with the caps losing...personally, I dont think this was good for hockey playoffs. In no way am I a caps fan, but I love watching Ovechkin. I'm sure the NHL didnt want to see Ovechkin bow out in the first round. Bad for ratings. As much as I love hockey, I probably wont watch it as much with Ovechkin out.

im with ya, but I bet if somehow it's MTL vs. BOS... um yeah, they'll get ratings, also the BOS-PHI series is gonna be a bloodbath.. BOS v. PIT Eastern Conference Finals has some underlying storylines as well...

There are probably as many Montreal Canadians fans as there are total fans of San Jose, Phoenix, Carolina, and Dallas. I see it as good for hockey because Canada IS HOCKEY.
I also love watching Ovy play. He is on a different level.
Oh yeah... guess who got cleared to play in the conference semi-finals?
Welcome back Savvy. I told ya so!

Watching less means that you won't wait for a commercial break to get yourself another shot of scotch and use the bathroom? You aren't fooling me, you will be watching Brunelle.

I know...and having a wife who loves hockey more than me...it'll be on. And if neither one of us have it on, my 3 year old daughter will want it on. Life aint that bad...

Pretty cool to have 4 of the Original 6 - one team for each Match-Up- left in the playoffs. Even if NOT Original 6, the Eastern Playoffs are still STACKED with historic teams and loads of fans. Too bad about Ovechkin (no doubt the biggest current fan favorite), but still an awesome line up for Round 2. Bring it ON!!!
Brunelle - you got it good. My wife is bored by hockey AND disc golf. Maybe my kids.... someday.....

My kids will watch some sports, Celts, Pats, but not unless I'm watching. They've played minimal disc w/ me, mostly with their friends tagging along. Which is cool, I just need to feed 'em more, which is a never ending sport all it's own.
Exciting finish last night, you could almost feel the misery pouring out of the Capital fans. Kind of like a "perfect season" slamming to a halt.....and getting velcroed to your head.

Wifes from buffalo, so I pretty much married into it. Shes the one that got me into hockey, I never really followed it before I met her. Thankfully I was a JETS fan long before I met her....the pain she goes through being a bills fan...no good.

That is pretty funny, especially the last line.
The Wings told the paper they weren't aware of the curfew or the potential fine. If they don't successfully fight it, Detroit owner Mike Ilitch will be left with two options: Paying the $2,500 fine or buying the city of San Jose and changing the law. Because we're pretty sure he can afford to do either, or both.

Well by getting Savard back that is, in a round about way, helping our defense. The added offensive pressure Savard will (hopefully) bring to the table will hopefully limit the amount of time Philly has in our defensive zone
Agreed though...the D definitely needs to tighten up. The sloppy play did cost them in the last series...they are lucky it didn't cost them the series.

Just in case you didn't stay up to watch, in the third period there were some desperate attempts to take Pavelski out and a rash of frustration penalties that ended up giving the Sharks a 5 on 3 and the tying goal. Wings had a great 2nd period and it looked like they were primed to win too. Now they better get game 3 or.........

Pavelski... Go Badgers!!
I hope the Sharks shut the Wings out in 4 straight. Sharks have a great team and deserve some of the success that Detroit has owned over the last couple of decades.
