Just a bump, and y'all look at the list and see if you or someone you know (and can't make this Sat 10-noon); then come on down!

Karl, any chance that you'd be there earlier ? A few of us have 10:00 league somewhere else.

Ken,
Now that you've MADE ME commit to being there an hour earlier, YOU had better be there between 9 and 10 or feathers will fly!

Dove both shallow 9 (sinuses were killing me so didn't 'go deep') and 17 this weekend; pulled up ~150 or so. Give me a couple of weeks to clean them all off and sort / log them in, and I'll post them here and on the kiosk. Then I'll make a date / time for picking them up (probably mid-May some Sat or Sun morn). And the eutrophication* of Buff is increasing at an alarming rate! Even the rangers have noticed it. This will - in the future - make finding discs thrown in an ever increasingly hard job (or I just WON'T find them - as I'll be spending all my bottom time untangling myself of the weeds and not actually seeing / feeling for discs); it's a jungle down there!

*the 'reclaiming' (via silting / weeding in, etc.) by Mother Nature of a body of water to eventually turn it into a swamp (and eventual dry land).
Ps: Have to hit M.H. a couple of tanks worth and then I'll get to Buff deep 9 and the channel.

Re: Buffumville water-found L&F List Only (don't reply here)
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I dove the channel - what SHOULD be the least weed-choked area of the pond due to its "larger than most areas" current (inhibiting weed growth) - a week ago and came up with only a few dozen discs. The eutrophication* process at Buffumville Lake is going nuts! Normally at this time of the year, the channel has weeds down about 9-10 feet down each side and the bottom is virtually totally 'clean' (just typical Buff muck). This year (and this process HAS been escalating over the last few years - as observed by me) the weeds cover just about EVERYTHING down there except maybe a 6-foot wide swath down the middle.
The rangers know this (and ARE concerned**) and are working towards TRYING to alleviate (as much as they can) this issue...but Mother Nature IS persistent.
I'll post the new-found discs on a separate list below (in a few days).
I'm hoping to dive again sometime but to do anything in the channel and 9 'near shore' will be a tough slog at best. I'll probably do 9 'deep' (out about 100' off shore) where the water's 20+ feet deep and the weed can germinate there due to the lack of sunlight (can't photosynthesize). I'll do the channel and short 9 again come first ice-out in 2014.
Karl
* The process of where - eventually - a lake becomes a shallow lake, then a pond, then a swamp, then a field, and then a forest (over numerous hundreds / thousands of years).
** But for different reasons - they for water flow / dam pressure(s), we because it'll be much harder for me to get you your discs back.

Sean,
We talked this morning at Buff....
Josh,
I'll be moving back to New England in the next couple of months so I'll be around more (and thus we WILL make contact)....
Y'all,
I have 500+ discs and hardly ANYONE came today to retrieve them! It amazes me that people don't want their disc(s) back for $2 each - considering they may cost $14 or so apiece. Go figure....
I'll be diving again come around Turkey Day-ish or so and will again - I'm not sure for what though - post the L&F list and when I'll be there with them.

Bobby,
Won't be at Buff this weekend; don't (off hand) know what that disc was (that's on the list); will get it to you soon though (some tournament, etc.).
Will also be diving long / deep 9 within the week.

I dove deep #9 yesterday; came up with 70 or so. Ridiculously bad visibility due to weeds and turbidity. When I came out the rangers said that the algae count was way up there and they were considering closing the 'beach' (in the park I'm guessing). If that ends up the case I'll have to parlay any further diving until they say I can (hoping for later in the fall??). Until then I'll re-catalog the discs - including the new ones - and re-post.

Has anyone turned a black sunglasses case? Haven't been able to find mine since the tournament last Saturday ... and they're not in my car or in the car in which I was driven in.
They would be prescription and pretty much useless to anyone else.
Thanks!
Craig
