Wow! I've only been away from the scene for a few weeks....

I would think Team Newton Hill or Team Pyramids. For the life of me I can't figure out why there would be no Team Buff though  Brand new course, bunch of great players, this can't be true.

Bear,

I bet we could find a spot for you :D

The reason why Team Buff will not have an "A" pool team next year is due to a bad rule. Team members do not want to play in the "B" pool. The only way anyone from Buff can play on an "A" pool team is to go to an "A" team. No disrespext to "B" pool members but a lot of Team Buff have worked really hard on their games and want to play against the best.

I think there will be a "B" pool Buff if someone would like to step up and run the team.

It's funny because the reason you are using for it being a dumb rule is exactly why there needs to be 2 pools.

If it was one big league, you wouldn't be playing the best competition, it would always be a water downed schedule. Having 2 pools ensures that everyone in each pool gets an equally difficult schedule, because that would be the next big complaint is that a team qualified for finals by playing all easy teams...

I wonder what the "Team Buff 2x Champion" jackets are going for on ebay......

Seriously though- whatever happened to "when the going gets tough...." mentality?

Former Team Buff is like a hedge fund. When times are good, everybody's making money. When the returns start to get lean, it's close up shop, send everyone what's left of their money and start over.

Sad.

I had a guy I coached Little League with who had a great line for the kids who got upset after a loss/strikeout/error: If you can't handle losing don't play the game.

It is great that others have opinions on this, it really is, but your opinions are just that opinions.

Alrighty then, here's another opinion:

Team Fluff: 15 players, 15 Cabs.

You're a baseball man Joe--I think you know what I'm talking about....

Since your post was put into a public forum you had to have known people were going to comment on it right Joe? I would assume that you probably could have guessed that many would view Team Buff's decision to disband rather than play in the B-pool as weak also no?

I wonder what Team Buff's future will be? Sure the team may continue but it would do so without some of it's top talent if they do decide to move to other teams thus hampering the teams ability to get back into the A-pool. What happens if the team does get back into the A-pool without it's top players ... do all those players come back? You guys obviously care allot about your course considering all that you are doing to keep it going - that is an amazing accomplishment. I guess allot of us are just surprised that you guys wouldn't want to continue to represent it in team play that's all.

It is not about the course whatsoever. It is about competition and a lot of former team Buff wants to compete at the highest level. The course will continue to develop and become one of the best in MA.
Rob
One of the reasons for my post was to clear up some issues, people were talking well before the season ended. I hope there will be another strong team Buff in the future. To tell you the truth I live closer to Maple and Pymids.

As for Buttons, you have to earn the right to come back for another season, not expect it.
Carry on and to all my teachers, enjoy your time off.
