The guard shack should just be a collection location for found discs. No other purpose, you find a disc you drop it off at the shack. You want to look for a lost disc you drive to BUC and search there. I really dont think the guards need to deal with every Tom, Dick and Harry that comes a knocking. Once a week the discs are picked up at the guard shack and brought to BUC. Drop off only at shack no retrieval, keep it plain and simple.

So far the staff who have been there, when I have asked to look for a disc, have been welcoming and encouraged me to come back and look again. So, how about Pat, Dan and Jeff instead of Tom Ditter and Harry?

Ok Everyone
I posted the New Seasons Lost & Found.

These are what I have for new turn ins.
Will be hitting Wicham as mush as I can to pick up discs.
Will try to talk to the guards as I am told many discs are still disappearing, not to be found.

one of my firebirds is stuck in the tree to the left side of hole 8's pin. Neon yellow with a large black dye on it. Reward for return.

Threw stuff at it for 1/2 hr and gave up, it's in there pretty good but may fall down.

You can't be serious. That thing is like WAAAYYYY up there. Pellet gun is the best option IMO. Or an entire bucket of BP balls....

found 3 discs yesterday on 7...

a yellow fundraiser disc, not a very legible name on it. looks like a quick autograph or initials on the top(Ben, maybe B A or something) no number on it. found it in the trees on the left of 7s fairway. name the stamp if you lost one there!

also a red dx disc without a name or number in the middle of the fairway

and lastly found a green star roadrunner in the tangled mess behind the short basket looking for another friends disc. Stew randy(? last names kind of smudged)

With BUC's passing, we know need to find another resource to handle L&F.

Currently, 162 discs have been handed over to Dave McHale.

Let's discuss how we should handle this going forward.

I wouldn't mind doing it - I could pick up periodically from the guard shack and catalog at my office in Farmington, attempt to contact contactables, then probably drop claimed property off again at the shack or bring to a league for pickup.

Does that sound like a plan?

There was a green disc lost immediately after the ACE throwoff at Wick this past Sunday.

The only thing written on the disc was DAVE - this is an important disc to the thrower.

If you mistakenly picked up and retained this disc - please get it back to me, and I will
ensure it is returned to it's rightful owner without any questions.

pm me if in your possession

I have initiated the new Lost and Found..........

Yesterday, I went through the first twenty discs and arranged for eight to be picked up at the guard shack - 40% - not bad.............

so, here's the official process - for now:

1. Turn in all lost discs to guard shack - I will periodically be picking up and bringing them back to my office for processing and attempting to contact owners........

2. Each disc receives a four digit code, and contact is attempted - if successful, you will have the option of stopping by my office in Farmington OR I can drop off at guard shack for pickup................

3. We do NOT want dgers to be poking through piles of discs in the guard shack while the rangers are not present..............

4. If you have questions concerning specific discs, all inquiries should be directed to me at:
Office - 860.676.4348
Cell - 860.637.1000
Email - lickmydisc@yahoo.com

5. Do NOT attempt to leave lost items at Buried Under Comics.........

Lost faded yellow CE Firebird while warming up for the team challenge last saturday.

Disc has the name "Mark Ellis" written in a black sharpie on the top and my name under (ive had this disc in my bag for 5+ years).

I threw it right into the tree sticking out into the fairway and looked for 20minutes and no sign of anything, reward if someone finds

Thanks,
Andrew Tabs
