Toddy -

What happens if - by some freak of nature - CLit beats Cran
or NASA beats you? Isn't then premature to do this?

That being said, I'm sure we would have limited numbers available - how
about a four on four at West Tommy?

Not gonna be able to swing a weekday. We are 2 hours away from Hylands or West Thompson...

I sent out a message to the 6 I would like to participate and will let you know about dates, when I hear back from them.

Next year challenges will have to be finished by the end of March, this is just stupid to have challenges, the weekend before finals.

Just wondering when that was decided. I figure it was a decision by the captains of the teams in the top half of A pool?

Is there any money coming to the bottom half of the A pool (even for finals expenses/food/drink)?

Agreed, how's this look?

20 -- 10 singles/5 doubles
19 -- 9 singles/5 doubles
18 -- 8 singles/5 doubles
17 -- 9 singles/4 doubles
16 -- 8 singles/4 doubles
15 -- 7 singles/4 doubles
14 -- 6 singles/4 doubles
13 -- 7 singles/3 doubles
12 -- 6 singles/3 doubles

Are we agreed on this arrangement?

And, how shall we proceed with the matchups? Team A calls out a singles/Team B matches; Team B calls out a dubs team/Team A matches; Team B calls out a single player/Team A matches; Team A calls out a dubs team/Team B matches..............? We should settle on this - matchups will be quite key...............

I think the # of players breakdown is fine. Agree that there needs to be some discussion about how the order of matchups gets determined. I think the better seed in the matchup should get first dibs on the matchups. I don't know that it needs to be as complex as Lick mentioned above. Why not just have it like we normally do:

Borderland puts up single and Wick matches
Wick puts up a single and Borderland matches
Borderland puts up single and Wick matches
Wick puts up a single and Borderland matches
Borderland puts up single and Wick matches
Wick puts up a single and Borderland matches
Borderland puts up a doubles and Wick matches
Wick puts up a doubles and Borderland matches

Also, the top half of the A pool should consider heading over to Charlton Woods for after-party.

Who: Top & Bottom 4 A Pool teams

What: Match play singles, Stroke play doubles disc golf.

When: April 14, 2012

Where: Top Half: Hylands, Bottom Half: Charlton Woods

Why: To determine a champion and play disc golf at a brewery and an awesome compound and have FUN.

How:

(# of players) -- Singles/Doubles breakdown
20 -- 10 singles/5 doubles
19 -- 9 singles/5 doubles
18 -- 8 singles/5 doubles
17 -- 9 singles/4 doubles
16 -- 8 singles/4 doubles
15 -- 7 singles/4 doubles
14 -- 6 singles/4 doubles
13 -- 7 singles/3 doubles
12 -- 6 singles/3 doubles

-Play the max amount of people possible, meaning you play the number of the team that brought less, with a minimum of 12. 1 pt penalty for each number under 12.

(Burgess brings 18, Wick brings 16, It’d be 16 on 16)

-Seed 1 vs Seed 4
-Seed 2 vs Seed 3

-Seed 5 vs Seed 8
-Seed 6 vs Seed 7

-Higher seed gets to pick if they will put up first in singles or doubles. Bang out the singles matchups, then move onto doubles matchups.

-Singles wins are worth 1 point
-Doubles wins are worth 2 points
-Playoff all ties UNLESS captains agree to halving matchups. Default is playoff though. Ties are like kissing Direnzos sister...

-Team with the most points wins

-Two winners move on to play for the championships. Two losers play for 3rd.
-Two winners in bottom half play for 5th. Two losers play for 7th.

Payouts ($1600)

1st: $750
2nd: $500
3rd: $250

Bottom half gets $100 to be used at their discretion. CTPs?

Please look this over and let me know if I missed something that needs to be addressed of if something is wrong. I will writeup B pool after lunch.

Yeah, if a female plays and the other team doesn't have one she gets a free point. Winner still gets a point as well.
