For the remaining people that aren't scheduled to bring something to tomorrow's match, bringing a box-o-joe or some donuts/bagels would be great for the morning. I think we have enough food/drink/snack/dessert/etc. Call/text/PM/email me or Pete if we haven't talked to you already about bringing something. See everyone tomorrow. Cell 413 896 5292

Too bad you don't live closer to the course Moriarty... RI is a hike. It would be nice to have a place to crash right by the course . Hahaha see you soon. And yeah, I'm not excited either.

so sick. soooo sickkkkkk...

Ha, yesterday was amazing guys. Thanks to everyone for helping make yesterday a reality.

I felt like the match took on the character that we have at crane. Every single person played such a pivotal role in the win. Such a team effort. I love you guys. (too much?)

Enough with the mush. Newton Hill Dec. 4th @ Newton Hill. We should have close to a full team going, which is great. If anyone's plans change and they can't make it just let me or Eric know.

Can't wait until the 4th.

We shoulda went out for drinks after.

Next time.

Yeehoo!

I missed you guys yesterday. Thanks to the frequent text updates by my boy Kyle, I almost felt like part of the win as you guys pulled it out from behind. I always thought we were stronger doubles, but yesterday proves that to me (nice job in the clutch guys). I will not be missing any more challenges from here on out.

Amesbury Pines is in Amesbury, MA about 90 miles from Crane Hill. People may think about trying to get up there Friday night and stay over. I will be trying to get out to play the course sometime before the match; I heard Pete may be trying to set up a coordinated effort like our visit to Newton for practice in the coming weeks, but no details yet on that. Let me know as soon as possible your intentions for January 21. I personally don't think it will be fair to bring up more people than we need, so it will be in all of our best interests to figure out who can go and and who can't so Pete can decide who he needs. Let's keep the wins coming, go Team Crane!

Yo good looks Kretsch.. We missed ya out there yesterday... Brad, the captain of Newton, has expressed interest in playing a match before our next challenge against his team at hyland brewery. I think it'd be fun if people are interested...

Door is open for dates, so those who see this think about it and get in touch with others, I'll try to do my part with communication and I'm sure Eric will crush some coordination..

So... think about it ya'll....

Amazing day yesterday... Still high off that win..

Im not sure if that would work for me with the shop and trying to sink baskets at Umass hopefully at that time if the ground isn't rock. I was thinking second weekend in January? It's all good though whatever works for the most people.. If I can't make it, it's not the end of the world, so long as I don't miss any legit matches...

I'm game for any weekend match as long as I know ahead of time and I'm not slammed with work from "natural disasters". Natural my ass... We should start calling them just disasters, right? It figures they already want a rematch, on a neutral course though? Pfft... this should be a cake walk. What the hell is a cake walk anyway? Who's coming up with all of these odd phrases? Let me speak to your manager...

We don't want a rematch. We just want to play because we had a good time with you all yesterday. Bunch of cool guys on your team. Maybe get some match practice in to get both of our teams sharp for the next challenge. And since we already played officially, then what's the harm? Even an 8 vs 8 scrimmage would be cool sometime.

Cake walk?

Hey I know this is a little early but do you guys mind if TT throws a 5-0 celebration party on your course after our match down the road? Just trying to plan ahead. Nothin too crazy maybe a couple bands and some performers, fireworks, etc...

The scrimmage at hyland is a great idea jeff. I was just joking about the cake walk thing, u know that right? U newton guys sure can throw plastic. A couple of guys on our team and I are members over there so I'm sure we'd have no problem gettin guys out there.

Is this the same Jeff that I played in singles yesterday?

That would be fine dmack.. no big deal.. We'll appreciate your organizing efforts in this matter because we all enjoy performances and fireworks, etc...

It's just that you might find yourself less than ecstatic when suffering defeat at the hands of the home team. But we'll enjoy the show trust me..

Hey Pete, real thoughtful of those Tolland guys to want to throw us a party for our 5-0 season... make sure they get a permit from the town for the BURNING we are going to hand them on our home turf. Beating Maple at Crane should only make them nervous about what Crane is going to do to them in our house. Hey TT, watch out for Doubles....

Noticing some complaining/negative comments about Crane lately in other TC threads. Anyone else seeing this? I mean, am I missing something? From where Crane was post storm to now is AMAZING, but all this negativity is making me feel like our course isn't "up to snuff" with other local courses post devastation. Or, maybe it's just that we throw it down the middle.............. in the fairways........ that are clear............. In all honesty, maybe we should start trying to pull fallen limbs farther off the beaten paths, but our hands are tied with clearing as Wilbraham has come down on us for no chain saws anywhere on site. What do people think? Should we start thinking about moving or clearing the already moved/cleared debris (I guess thinking mainly about 5, 6 edges of fairway)?

Crane was in GREAT shape considering the damage you guys had. The team doing most of the complaining didn't want to play at Crane to begin with. I'd have to say most of the bitching can be chalked up to sour grapes.

Crane is playing better than ever, AWESOME tee pads, clear lanes, a great flow. I've played there 3 or 4 times since the storm and there was nothing to complain about. You guys are doing a great job on the course.

Even pj dan thinks it's awesome

Great to hear some positive comments about the course conditions. I did read some of the comments that were left by others and they were throwing around words like 'disaster' and 'unplayable'. Really? I guess if they were trying to play their challenge at another course they would exagerate the conditions to support their case. From where it was after the storm to where it is now is like night and day. We do have some additional clearing to do of limbs that have been dragged to the edges of the fairways but even those aren't really in the way. We should probably make a concerted effort to do some more housekeeping before our next home match.

Eric, are we not allowed to use chainsaws on limbs that have already fallen and are no longer attached to the tree?

You know how the old "telephone" game goes, by the time you hear it you are only getting 35% of the original message and the new 65% changes the whole meaning. Not sure how much of this is going on, but I had "heard" no chainsaws anywhere, anytime. I have seen and heard chainsaws recently, but that doesn't mean it has been ok'd. I think we should definitely get clarification before we go out there for any massive cleanups with the heavy machinery.

Thanks for the words guys, but don't think you are going to soften us up before our last home match. A little clearing may be in order, but we are still preparing for a slaughter, with the home team raising the flag at the end :D. Love disc golf, how did I ever live before it??????

Definitely thanks for the comments guys.. Glad to hear that people are really enjoying the hard work that everybody has put in at crane. We've busted balls over there...

Tolland seems to be stand up dudes, and Eric I'm right with ya on the know hanky panky ish.. Stand up dudes or not, we're winning at crane. period.

Now onto Crane ish..

So we have 1 roster spot open now with Greg's injury. I have a few people in mind for filling this spot and have had a suggestion from someone on the team about another player...

Does anyone have any input on this before I get another man on the roster to play our last three challenges?
