Jack, Marvin, Clayton and Pat all played in our first match.

And JJ didn't play. He should be on Northampton's roster.

I haven't received any word from Wick regarding who played and didn't play. No one on your team is checked off and JJ isn't on there.

Are you seeing differently?

I think you're looking at Woodlands numbers.

Says the original poacher. Remember when there used to be a championship team at Buffumville?

Original?

LOL. Buff was the original (Jay Gordon anyone???). We did it to compete with Maine, now we have to do it to keep up with Wick...

Also, Marielle Mallar? Jerel Davis? Stop talking.

Wick, with Jason Johnson, Pat Barnett, Shawn Mullen, Marvin Manalo, Shane Peters, I could probably go on, I know their list is longer than ours... We still have 75% homegrown talent, I bet almost no other team can say that. Borderland will try to tell you that, but they have Issac Chaney, Sandy Redd, Billy Dunne, 3 guys from Rhode Island (Jihad, Barden and Graham), NASA now carrying the best female in the challenge, Jerel, Where did Daniel Marcus come from? he was on Buff at one point... Woodland Valley grabbed Kozaka, Gagne, Nichols and Bouffard, Tully seems to be all homegrown, Cranbury as well, get off your
highhorse, my team was actually reluctant to go down the road we went down, but it's the only way your going to compete in this cut-throat league.

Not hating on Wick, just wishing I had know Pete and Geoff were out there... I would have inquired. They would have fit right in with our group.

Shane, Pat, and shawn were all team wick members waiting for open roster spots.

Looking at the current rosters both Wick and Burgess are over 80% homegrown or local talent.

hi - i checked but couldn't find a current answer to this question:

are female players able to be added to the roster in addition to the 20 player max?

For example, we have 20 players, but would like to add 2 other women to the roster. If this is okay, team captain lawrence would like to add becca tucker and lesli brinster.

thanks dudes.

The 20 is including the woman/women

If you have 20 now, and want to add 2 more, you need to cut two players and would effectively be your 2 roster moves for the year.

I actually think the female spots can rotate. So if Mo can't make to one challenge, Lesli could step in without it counting as a roster move.

Doesn't say that anywhere in the rules.

Season has started...rules should stay where they are.

Capt's discussed it in the captains thread, as long as your captain knows, you'll be fine don't worry.

I'm not worried but if people are asking then perhaps it wasn't made clear to everyone.

Rules should be made public to the entire league not just captains.

Ask your captain, if they dont know the rules, shame on them, you should worry about showing up to the team challenges, playing and that's about it. If everyone starts thinking they know the rules, then at challenges you have too many chiefs and not enough indians.

This is the reason why the Captains only thread was created, in order to keep things off the main board... We had a 4-5 page thread on this topic alone, now, if we had 400 meddling people with their own thoughts and ideas, where would we get? exactly. League is running more smoothly this year, b/c we've eliminated a majority of the fighting on the board over stupid crap, and made it so it's between the Captains, make sure your captains are speaking to your team, that's all I can say. You should only have to worry about IN MATCH rules, don't worry about how many people can play, how many women can play, what their roster spot situation is about, your captain should be up to speed on this... I know for a fact that Meow was involved in the discussion and has the proper information to inform his team should they need it.

They are all made public. It's my bad for not putting it up there. I wanted to wait until they were all finalized before editing it, so there's not multiple edits and I get accused of cheating again...

We call that rule the Direnzo bedroom policy. It's an open door policy and it doesn't matter the female as long as they're there they can play.

I will update it all when I get home.

I doubt all captains agree with you on that one. Same old story, exclusive vs, inclusive. Even Todd stated he should have posted this earlier. The "Sit down, shut up , and do as you're told" BS might work on some teams, but Deangelis seems to actually value our teams input.

You don't get it Steve, but keep spewing your venom.

I completely understand why the Captains thread was made, and am in full agreement that it should be there. The rule was finalized in the captains thread, but was never publicized...in the rules thread...you know...where all the RULES go

Todd admitted to that (Thank you Todd) and my post was never aimed at giving him a hard time...just the fact that the rule was not made public in the one spot it should be and that there was some confusion regarding it.

Yup, I don't tell my teammates anything  . What do you care if your team can rotate women or not, if your captain knows, then you should be good.

So I guess he's also kept you all up to date on all the rules that were discussed and ruling on the final decisions about woman's roster spots and substitutions... lol. You guys are funny. It's not that I don't tell my team nothing, I tell them what they want to know... IN MATCH rulings, where to be, when to be there and what to bring, they leave all the roster and other [bleep] to Todd and I.

Venom?

Look into some reading comprehension and definitions of "venom" before you go and say my last post was "venomous"... there was no sign of "malice" or "spite" in my previous post, just explaining my view on why the Captain's thread exists and realistically, why would a person on a team (unless your the woman or potential sub) care about it? Also, if you are a woman on the team or potential sub; I would assume the first person you would go to would be your captain to relay the message to Todd, or directly to Todd.

Easy game.

My captain is great. He told me everything I needed to know this weekend.

#1 Who do I play

#2 What hole do I start on.

#3 ow much the dues were to be on the team, and how much the shirts cost (if I wanted one)

Yup,..that about wraps it up.

And if I keep losing,.he'll tell me when my services are no longer needed.

Gary, this is why I love our team.

I tell my wonderful teammates the following things.

1. When (When is the challenge, when the challenge starts).
2. Where(Where the challenge is!)
3. What (What to bring if anything, food/beer/money)
4. How (We are going to win).... aka, (who they are playing and what hole they'll be starting on.)

As Gary said, I keep it simple, Captains are there to manage the roster and make sure we follow the rules... the players on the teams need not worry about that bullcrap!
