I am not going to make any more predictions.

I will be rooting for whoever comes out of the West. My preferences are the Kings, then the Predators. Great goaltending will continue to prevail. My hat is off to Holtby. He was magnificent.

Maybe you fail to watch Crosby acting like a little punk during most of the last series. Heck,..he's a always a punk. Always starting crap he gets someone else to finish for him. You would think a guy that has been put on the bench from questionable hits would at least try and play the game cleanly.

Sounds like most of the CEOs in business these days :| . But then again, "important person" in business, "important person" in sports...hmm.

Gary, are you totally blind?

Did you NOT see what I posted on Monday Apr 23, 2012 @ 10:42 am, on the previous page of this thread?!?

Nope, I've really not read this thread. I just saw your post about Ovechkin. There are generally to many want to be know it all's on these sports threads that post from the heart rather than a solid opinion about an individuals or teams ability. Glad to see you have the same opinion about that punk Crosby. Can't understand why you would dislike Ovechkin more than Crosby. Ovechkin plays a much more solid and straight up game. Watching him battle with Chara and Seidenberg was good old fashion stand up hockey

Do a google search on Ovie's knee-on-knee hits to both Tim Gleason & Sergei Gonchar, his reckless hit to the head to Zbynek Michalek, his hit from behind on Brian Campbell, and many others. He's a repeat offender and one of the league's dirtiest player who has been suspended by the NHL numerous times. He's a Matt Cooke-esque goon but because of his skills he gets Crosby-like breaks from the league.

I wouldn’t cross the street to piss on Ovechkin if he was on fire.

I do agree on Crosby...I was a defender of his in the past but I can stomach the behavior no more. It's too bad that after growing up during the tail end of the careers of Gretzky and Lemieux, the guys whom I thought would be the next great ones in the league: Lindros, Crosby and Ovechkin, all turned out to be busts as well as totally unlikeable dicks taboot.

Have yourself a good night as well.

What the heck is going on with the Bruins? 5 loses when leading entering the 3rd period is horrible. They need to start playing to win. No excuses about the Kelly/Krejci injuries are worth discussing. Pittsburg has reigning MVP Malkin along with top defender Chris Letang out and they won 10 in a row.

Ugly no doubt. Sloppy play on their part.

Still a few weeks to get it right before the post season.

Wouldn't be surprised if they pull the trigger on a trade.

I personally would rather them go after a defensive stud vs offense.

The game last week where the Bruins were leading 2-0 with 7 minutes left to go and the Pens scored 3 goals to win 3-2 was AWESOME!!! :P

I disagree and think they need offense more than defense. This shows in the fact that they score as often on the SH as they do on the PP. Bottom line is that they need both if they want another cup.

Pipe down Jeff. Its bad enough that my cousin is a huge Pens fan and I have to get endless texts from him about how good Pittsburg is. I will admit, they are a damn good team and could easily win the cup this year.

The whole game I was complaining about how the Bruins can't be on their heels with a 2 goal lead on Pittsburg. They are waaay to good to think that would win it. I said, "Pittsburg can score 2 goals in a minute" and BAM they did. After they did, I said its over and BAM it was.

Wait until the Bruins get to play the Penguins at home on a day's rest. Then we will decide who is better. Or better yet, lets see how they do in the playoffs when M-A Fluery chokes.

Sadly a 10-game regular season winning steak wins you nothing but some respect in the NHL (see Bruins INSANE month of November last year).

Pens can win 20 in a row for all I care...it's the regular season. We wil see if they can do it in the playoffs when it really counts for something. Much rathe the bruins have their struggles now versus a month from now.

Another edition of my infrequent irregular series on the status of the Boston Bruins (in my humble opinion of course).

THEY SUCK!

Seriously, I am worried about their recent slide in competitiveness, drive, passion, and well, ability to WIN a game. As in, like, SCORE a goal, you bums!!

But seriously, recent games have been better. Case in point: Lucic seems to actually be breathing again, with some hits and fights. Where was that guy for the second half of the season?

I am seriously: looking forward to one of our D-Men (preferably Zdeno “The Pylon” Chara) ruthlessly pummeling wee Kessel either against the boards or in a straight-on open ice hit.

To be serious for a minute: I am going to get psyched for the playoffs. Just lowering my expectations out of sheer fear of disappointment.

In all seriousness: GO B’s!!

Feel free to contradict.

Nothing to contradict. They are a bad hockey team right now, and have been for a 2 months. Can't score, can't close out games, power play is pathetic (3 years running now), and they seem to lack the intensity they once had. Lucic has sucked for the entire year, as well as most of last year. What a waste of a contract - highest paid forward on the team...that's a joke.

They absolutely have the talent to win it all, but they've shown me no reason to believe they will make it out of the first round (again). Only way I see them advancing is because of Tuukka.

On that note - I think Claudes days are very limited. I bet Seguin is. 40+ goal scorer in other offenses.

Bs certainly looked like the team we saw in January last night. Hope they are able to keep up that intensity. If so, they would even have a shot at taking out the Penguins.

Loved the hit that Boychuck put on Grabovski in the corner. Make them pay.

Shanahan showing once again his inability to do his job with any sort of consistency.

Don't get how Bettman can back him anymore.

Cleaning up the game? Seems like there are already more suspensions in 1 week of playoffs than multiple months of the regular season....in significantly fewer games played.
