What do we want to do with our $400 captains. I think potluck from each team will be a good money saver and we can then turn to CTP's and maybe a prize for hot round and hot doubles round. Maybe some donated CTP prizes as well. Then the rest to beer???

Also posted info in the team challenge thread to get the info out to our teams.

even though newton does does have a handfull of drunks there are a few of us that dont need a bunch of $$ put towards beer.. i like the idea of contests for $$ (ctp, ace pots, etc).. and with ppl not finishing all together and a large field i think ppl shud bring their own food or maybe pot luck but no need to waste $$ on catering

I think we should split it all into ctps with CTP winnings being given to the team rather than the player.

Each team can be responsible for their own beer and food.

Individually, players should see Zoro about side money for top scores in singles and dubs. What do people think?

So This is what we did last year:

Hole assignments will be placed based on the standings:

Hole 1:
Tolland (1-4)
Borderland (1-4)
Maple Hill (3-2)
West Thompson (3-2)
Dam Team (2-2)

Hole 2:
Panthorn (2-3)
Northampton (1-3)
Borderland II (1-4)
Buffumville (0-4)
Tolland (1-4)

Hole 3:
Borderland (1-4)
Maple Hill (3-2)
West Thompson (3-2)
Dam Team (2-2)
Panthorn (2-3)

and so on, and so forth.

10 players in singles, with one mandatory female player. If there is no female player for singles, the team plays 9 players and takes the highest female score +1 stroke.

5 doubles teams for round two. Female is not mando for this round. Doubles scores are double weighted for scoring.

Now that this is decided, please send me the list of your players for singles so I can put together the hole assignments.

So I suggest we adapt it for this year:

Hole 1:
Dam Team (2-3)
Newton Hill (2-3)
Maple Hill (2-3)
Panthorn (1-4)
Borderland II (1-4)

Hole 2:
Hyland (0-5)
Dam Team (2-3)
Newton Hill (2-3)
Maple Hill (2-3)
Panthorn (1-4)

Hole 3:
Borderland II (1-4)
Hyland (0-5)
Dam Team (2-3)
Newton Hill (2-3)
Maple Hill (2-3)

and so on, and so forth.

16 players in singles, with one mandatory female player. Top 12 scores including female player for singles - If there is no female player for singles, the team uses top 11 scores plus the highest female score +1 stroke.

8 doubles teams play for round two. Female is not mando for this round. Doubles scores are double weighted for scoring. 6 teams count in scoring.

Can anyone get a scoreport? Borderland has one but it will probably be used for A pool.

If people want to go with the above I don't mind writing up the hole assignments. I would just need to get some cards for the scoreport and all teams would need to send me their line-up.

Why is are the females not mando for the doub round?

Otherwise I say we keep it how it's suggested.

That's what we did last year... That being said B2 has a female and she will be playing both rounds.

We would just need to figure a penalty to teams that don't bring a female for dubs. Maybe their last dubs team score is the worst score in the field plus 1?

Zoro said he would take care of side bets in the morning - singles and dubs teams can put in $ for payouts per round - I think it was $5 for s and $10 for dubs teams.

Good point Chris about females in dubs. I don't think it makes too much difference in dubs - only 6 of 8 scores are counting anyway. For singles we should try to put the women on the same card - who is not playing a woman?

Andrew - can you possibly borrow a scoreport from Steve or Dave? I think Dakai or Hickson are bringing one for the finals at MH.

If not, maybe Don Boutin has one that Hylands can bring.

If you want me to take charge of hole assignments please send me your line-ups.

This needs to be done before sat morning.

Is there any reason we can't prepare dubs hole assignments also?

1. we are showing up with a female who can play well.. she will play both rounds

2. ace pots, ctp's, long drive, dueces on 10/15, best costume, opposite hand holes.. we can do anything, this is for fun

if we do the above then we should figure them out..
ctp's.. 1,2,3,4,6,9,11,13,14,18 =$100 each round
long drive 10, 15 = $20 each round
any dueces 10,15 = $30 ea rnd
any aces = $50 per rnd

all amounts to $400.. if no dueces/aces during 1st rnd then side games during lunch (ctp to parking lot island) or add to ctp pot for next rnd..

anything can happen, this again is for fun!!

seems like a lot to track but if someone else wants to be responsible for it that's fine. We as captains need to be prepared to double check scores after each round as a group to help this all run smooth. I personally think we could leave out the deuces and let Zoro take care of the aces with the side bets he was taking charge of. Then we wouldn't need to switch anything up if none are accomplished (ace or deuce). Also, I think anything won with this $400 should be given to each teams course not individuals.

I agree, CTP's are not individuals, they should be listed as the team name on the CTP not the individual.
