Who could ask for anything more from the Stanley Cup playoffs? I have a lot to say about it but no time (stupid work...) So I'll throw out one shamelessly stolen line from a discussion forum about last night's game.

So all the Canuck fans are up in arms about the Raymond injury and think Boychuck should be suspended for a game!
Funny, too, how quickly they forget about that hit Edler put on Peverley. That was 10X more dangerous than what Boychuck did (not that he did much at all). It was just an unfortunate injury on a flukey play.

No, but I think the ref was trying to save Sedin's manhood by throwing him out.

So, a Bruins Stanley Cup victory on Wednesday means that the team with the longest championship drought in Boston is...the New England Patriots!

Will also set the record for shortest timespan that each of the 4 major teams in any city have won it all. 2004-2011.

That was what I guess. The poor ginger was scared that big bad Marchand was going to beat him up and a none of her teammates were coming to the rescue. Couldn't get out of Boston fast enough.

Raymond out 3-4 months with a compression fracture of the vertebrae. Where was the medical staff with the stretcher? I have a new respect for Raymond. He is one tough dude. I don't think I ever saw him do any diving or make dirty plays either. Its really too bad that the Boston fans can't take back the heckling they were giving him for being a diver and a liar after he went down.
I wish him a speedy recover.
I wonder who they will bring up to take his place on the 2nd line? Thoughts?

I knew it was bad when I saw it. I said to my 6 year old...they crushed his vertebrae...and he said "what's a vertebrae" : ) ....I wish him a speedy recovery as well

Re: NHL 2010-11
It IS too bad that the fans reacted that way, but at the same time Vancouver players have no one to blame for the lack of respect they see except themselves. If most of them didn't dive around and embellish/overreact to the hits then fans may be a little more sympathetic towards actual injuries. It's a shame that it's come to that.
As far as replacing him. I heard Tambellini (sp?) would be the man...who played like crap last time he was on the ice.
Vancouver fans are calling for a suspension on Boychuck for the hit. The only reason that "hit" is being talked about is because there was an injury. The worst/nastiest hit that should be getting the buzzz is the boarding play by Edler on Peverley. B's are very fortunate he was able to shake that one off.

True, true, that was the one on the icing right? Where Edler was actually there first but didn't even play the puck, he was head-hunting Peverley, was I the only one concerned after the B's went up big that Vancouver would send people after Krecji, Seidenberg, Lucic and Seguin?

No worries, boys - I haven't shaved (face or head) since just before game 5. I didn't shave for games 3 and 4, so I think we know why they lost game 5. I won't screw it up this time.

Ya that was the play. He made zero attempt to play the puck. Peverley was skating low as it was, and Edler had his way with him.

Re: NHL 2010-11
Horton will be in the building for Game 7! That is great news! His prescence could vault the emotion over the top for the B's. It would be awesome to see Savvy make the trip as well, but I doubt it.
Notes and Prediction:
1. The goalie curse: Not since 1974 has a goalie wearing the #1 won a Stanley Cup. Bernie Parent did it for Philly in 1975 against the B's. Tables turned now this time.
2. Physical Play: You have to think that the longer this series went, the B's would get the edge, they are much more physical and it has to be wearing on Vancouver, not only are they losing bodies left and right, but players that are playing, aren't as effective as they were in previous series, (see Ryan Kessler).
3. Tim Thomas: Hasn't allowed more than 3 goals in 7 games straight, is 9-0 when he faces 37 shots or more. I think the Canucks will shoot often, as they have so far in this series, but that just seems to get Timmy going..
4. Home Ice?: The B's have bested the Canucks on their ice (regular season) and have played much better than the Canucks on the road, the argument can be made that the B's could have won all 6 games to this point, Vancouver can't even come close to saying that much.
Prediction: The way the season started in Vancouver, the B's take it. 3-1.

A little fun with the Sedins.
I like the analysis Steve.
I am going with 3-2 Bruins win in OT.

OT... I don't think my heart could take that. Personally, I'd love a repeat of what the C's did to the lakers a couple years back and the Sox when they won their WS... just blow em out. Patriots took the close route, good for some heart burn.
Not gonna get anything done today, or tomorrow.

Easy there with the ginger comments. It's the only thing I don't not like about them...

The only thing you DO like or DON'T like about them? You aren't jumping off the bandwagon on me now are you Stewie?
For anyone that watched the mediocre Sedin video I posted and don't know what poutine is, it is a canadian dish of frech fries with lard instead of ketchup. Blech!!!

Re: NHL 2010-11
I am not sure if my heart can take it either, but its game 7, might as well be an OT thriller. I am sticking with it.
I was going to say that one of the D-men were going to score. I like the Kaberle pick because he is due, he has been getting down lower and into the play and his wrister has been more accurate but I am going with Seidenberg.
Seguin, Seidenberg, and Lucic with the OT winner.

My "bold" prediction? Whoever scores first wins. It's all about confidence and momentum.
