Nice job to Whit, Pat and all who worked this weekend (not me). The new putting green looks awesome and the club storage locker will be a great asset. :D

Whit
i'd like to thank you for not calling me names on the message board.
i'm sure you were tempted....i just didn't understand the magnitude of you/pat/crewe's latest efforts.

The new "putting green" is indeed yet another crown in the jewel of mighty cran.

Calling it a practice basket, as i did, is clearly inadequate. I appologize....it's probably closer to a putting FACILITY.

I got a round in w Pat earlier today and got the good word.
For those who may not yet know,
the extra basket that has been dangleing out in the old long one location was brought back and placed at the bottom of the knoll that rolls over the storage facility and joins the practice pin already located there.
So now you have two brand new Mach III's at 2 differnt levels and with the bush gone and native indiginous plants and flowers planned for the
future you have nothing less then a beautifully planned and executed, state of the art putting facility to ready you for the rigors of the task at hand....

Yet another genius time move by Whit, Pat and the rest of the "crack" Cranbury crewe'

Hats off....

The Cranbury Crew is AWESOME!!! I haven't seen motivation like this since the Americas next top model line in NYC. You wouldn't believe it if you saw it. And its helping. League is growing, doubles is growing, and there are new casuals everywhere.

I had the day off on this past Thursday and drove the hour drive down to play Cranbury with Mr. Smolin. I must say the work on the course is great! I have been a fan of Cranbury since first played it last year and the course is looking great right now, can't wait till Cranbury Classic this year!!!

I played for the first time with some of the alternate pin positions and it was really fun. Props to all the people that took the time out of their schedules to get the course spruced up!!

Looking forward to play Cranbury at least a few more times this year.

Doing work at Cran.
Long hole 1 is just about ready for a tee.
15 now has a raised basket.
We moved the pin on hole ten back to make it a par 4.
Not going to be many scores in the 40's in this year's Classic.
More changes on the way.

got out to cran last night for the first time in a while ...

loved the new hole 10. one of the better par 4s I've played. will reward strong tee shots with easier approaches, and will punish errant drives. is there talk of making the rock walls OB???

a thought on the downhill position of hole 7 ... I think a case can be made to place a mando on the left side of the fairway, such that drives have to travel a minimum distance up the hill before going back down. this might be the best way to ensure that the hole plays as a legit par 4. Otherwise I can see players either risking a shot down the path off of the tee, or intentionally hyzering out early to try and cut off as much distance as possible.

Smolly,
The far rock wall dividing 10 and 11 will be o.b. There is talk of the wall on the left side being o.b. as well. There is also talk of a mando on 7 for that exact reason.

conditions were pretty tough today ... some crusted snow, but still a foot thick in some areas ... crunching through was not fun ... but losing discs won't happen with the crust

Hole 10 tee pad has a serious depression in the front right corner that is hard to see.
The crack Cran crewe' is aware of the problem and it will be fixed asap,
in the meantime be aware ....
