Philly with a facelift. I guess the Bruins won't be getting Leino.

Yes, you were one of the few Ryder fans. I have to admit that he came through during the SC run, but I am not sad to see him go. My nickname for him was the ghost.

"Ghost" -- love it. He always looked a little dazed in interviews. I liked his tricky little drag wrist shot and heads-up play.... when he showed up that is. No way to keep him for the $$$. However, no Stanley Cup without him - he had numerous key plays, including winning goals and game-saving... saves. Bye Ghost. (not Buy ghost).

I may be a fan of him, but agree that the B's were right in not re-signing him for the money he got ($3.5mil/yr)

No doubt he had SEVERAL key plays/shifts in during the cup run...at least he went out on top! :D

and they pick up Benoit Pouliat... the guy who had the cheap shot on Boychuk.. against Montreal... the guy that Jack Edwards infamously called.. a bust from being drafted so high.

He's big, can score and can skate. Maybe not as dynamic as Ryder... but still young and will likely take his spot.

The Corvo trade may turn out to be pretty advantageous for the B's.

In terms of scoring, he would have been second for d-men on the B's last season.

He paired with Seidenberg in Carolina and played pretty well with him from what I heard/read.

So i've been watching the the Playoff replays on the NHL Network. They're doing the Montreal series right now. Some seriously great hockey was played in this series, and I found myself not nearly hating Montreal as much in relation to the Canucks. Completely different style of play...
