Yes, you were one of the few Ryder fans. I have to admit that he came through during the SC run, but I am not sad to see him go. My nickname for him was the ghost.

"Ghost" -- love it. He always looked a little dazed in interviews. I liked his tricky little drag wrist shot and heads-up play.... when he showed up that is. No way to keep him for the $$$. However, no Stanley Cup without him - he had numerous key plays, including winning goals and game-saving... saves. Bye Ghost. (not Buy ghost).
and they pick up Benoit Pouliat... the guy who had the cheap shot on Boychuk.. against Montreal... the guy that Jack Edwards infamously called.. a bust from being drafted so high.
He's big, can score and can skate. Maybe not as dynamic as Ryder... but still young and will likely take his spot.
So i've been watching the the Playoff replays on the NHL Network. They're doing the Montreal series right now. Some seriously great hockey was played in this series, and I found myself not nearly hating Montreal as much in relation to the Canucks. Completely different style of play...
