The only issue was that the NEDGC was a side note for Hyland on that day. It's a business and there was more money to be made on the other events held that day. Totally understandable.

At least now NEFA knows where they stand and can make adjustments going forward.

I always enjoy playing maple, and I think Dave and Gregor did a great job. Would it have been nice to have a large gathering afterwards for awards and food/beer? Sure it would have.

All you can do is try and improve on things for next year, but I think this format as a whole was a step in the right direction. Thanks to all that put time and effort into the event.

Agree completely. I was not planning on signing up for NEFA this year and most NY/NJ people I'm cordial with were in the same boat. However, due to the changes in format, there were way more nefa events that were local to all of us and it involved a lot more people in the organization from down this way.

As far as finals is concerned, the only disappointment I had was that it wasn't PDGA sanctioned. With the added cash, this could have been a B Tier and would have brought some outside attention to our region a la Southern Nationals. The field was one of the deepest I've been a part of this year, and playing Maple is always a pleasure.

Thanks to Gregor, Zoro, Cuts, Dave Jackson, Rick Williams and Matt D for coming together to ensure a solution was put in place to help grow NEFA and improve on the finals. I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes in the future.
