as we will soon be in the process of sculpting 18 more...

did they have any feedback other then it suxed?

also once the 3-5 trees I seen on 15 are gone..it will be a very difficult hole that will challenge them to get better...but be much more fair

did they offer any positive feedback? or overall suggestions?

always curious on input good/bad to help in the quest of course completion

I think there were too many trees and not a real line to go for it on 15 and 18. They definitely stepped up to a few tees and liked the hole, 12 comes to mind.

Titan just for the record, I took a 5 on 18 on Sunday. Even with a tee shot that made it over the wall dead center fairway that hole was still a monster. Part of the problem, besides it still being a long tight fairway finish from there, is the footing wasn't good. This will improve with more workdays and as the course matures. I agree with most of Paul's assessment. A lot of the holes just require the ability to throw straight. I do have to say though that off the tee even when I did miss the fairways on the left side I had good opportunities to scramble out of there and save a lot of threes. So in that sense then yes I would say some of the holes were righty friendly. However, I wasn't on right side that much off the tee so who knows how accurate that last statement is.

for sure..something Guy and I have been discussing

going to arrange a RF&G club workday focused on raking, leave blowing, debris removal, pole sawing...sometime before August

added with more people playing to break er in..in part is the reason it is free to play this year they are smart enough to realize the help breaking it in is worth it..I am glad they saw the value in that

anyways we will make sure 18 is always a conservation piece...but not for the mentioned reasons..

Guy and I spent a few hours out there today

Tweaked hole 1 and manicured it a bit
moved tee location and pin location for a few reason..over all I like the product better now

Next over to hole 2 where we built up the rock crossing over stream/wet area

Guy whacked some growth and cleaned up the trail to 3 a bit

Next onto hole 3

good round yesterday with Guy,Karl,Paul and I

happy with holes 1-5,8 & 11-14,16,17

leaving 6,7,9,10,15,18 as holes I consider need more tweaking/work

tapped a 5 on hole 18 after 3 horrible shots

overall good times and glad to finally be playing an actual round out there

6 holes that need some minor tweaking is not that bad actually, I have high spirits for the future

soon tee pad work will start!!!

next week OUT Lydia has surgery tuesday and will be out for a week..leaving me all the household duites

cya all soon

played with Cupcake,Don wedge today..well I walked while they played cuz my wrist hurts

bugs ruined their adventure though..crazy but tis that time o year and extra wet with mild sun is crazy this year everywhere

is your saw sharpened?
I would like to cut the 2 trees on 7 to make that hole more fair..I have thought hard about what 2 and they are mediums and then we have the hole where it needs to be

also I would like to pole saw on 5-8..so maybe while you weedwhack I will do that?

can you pick me up at 730am? start when we get there?

will check board at 7am for details

hope to cya

Guy and I crushed some work for a few hours this morn

Was great no bugs slight breeze and good temp

Pole sawed on 5.6.7
Guy crushed weedwhacking on trail from 5-6 and the entire hole 5

Next up weedwhacking on 6.7.9

the back is fine for ground cover

We also cut 2 trees on 7, not the 2 I thought at first
But I like the new pure line

I will be MIA prob till after 6/29 as far as work as I have family duties galore upcoming

will try to get tee pad materials, equipment rolling though as July was always the target month for that

Pole saw arrived yesterday evening. Ready to go. I did think about before and after but after firing up the wacker I couldn't put it down. It took about 5 hours to complete...and I am not just talking about the main fairway
