thanks.

here's some initial thoughts on the new teams.

Devens, you are kinda out in the middle of nowhere... just like us down on the cape.

Tolland, you seem to be in the thick of things.

Devens will be focusing on Maple Hill, Buff, Tolland...

Tolland, obviously, Wick, Buff, Maple Hill...

More to come soon.

Well we are trying to get into contact with a certain somebody to see if we can use their certain private course, In a certain Granby, CT. So I will give you a definite answer before 4 because that is when I am taking off to play at Wick.

My gut says Hero's would be great for your neutral... possibly.. but Granby Ct for most MA teams is a HIKE, and during the winter you never know with what the conditions...

I would urge to stay as centrally located as possible...

For instance, Cape Cod to Granby CT...

3 hours 15 min ride... hate to say it, yall wont be playin us this year.

At least we get to play Tolland :D  . For real Solbo, do what you need to do to make the schedule work. I (and the rest of us im sure) really appreciate your hard work on this and you wont get too many complaints out of me as far as the rides go.

Yeah, with 8 teams it makes it nice, cuse you dont have to absolutely send teams on the oppisite ends of the spectrum to play each other.

Bein in this thing for 2 years now, I know how winter rolls in these parts.

Actually, we aren't too far out in the middle of nowhere. We are just off Rt 2 and 495, an hour from Amesbury, Pye, and Borderland, 45 minutes from Marshall St, and Buff, and 90 min from Wick. We are bridging the gap between northeast and central MA golf, baby.

It does make sense to group us like you did tho. Thanks for taking care of the schedule, Steve.

Solbo is the man. Cant wait to see who we play.

The league is growing. Thanks to all teams that entered this year!

Let the trash talk start flowing like garbage at a dump on a windy day.

Reminder. BUffs team is not finalized. We have plenty of spots up for grabs. Send a PM if you are interested in trying out. Joe

Thanks for the props Joe.

Everyone is gonna get a fair, balanced schedule, I believe this, because, I have a pretty good idea whom is gonna be on what team, and their running track record.

Except Tolland and Devens.

One more question.

Joe, did we settle on the fee? $200.00 or a little lower? $1600 is quite the ransom... if we go with that..

Figure Devens on the lower end of your scale Steve. We are a new team comprised of all ams (am 1 and am 2) so dont think we are a buff/wick/b-lands powerhouse.

Well,

Wick is a clear #1, compromised of mostly pro's and defending champs to boot.

Remaining in no paticular order... as far as teams stood last year anyways.

Buff, inaugural champs, plenty of good good players to choose from, lots of good pro's Cyr, Yaskis, Sanderson, Laforce, Dunn... of course it depends on whom makes the team. (From what I hear Jerel Davis is trying out!)

Borderland with the addition of Matt :cat: DeAngelis, along with Mike D, Pete J, Stroika, Tatro, and the rest are tough.

Burgess, with Harrington, Rogers, Lapham, <-- pretty decent, after them.. depth is a little suspect, but we got 2 real solid AM 1's, and a bottom of the barrel pro in me. (Ha)

Womp... will be improved. put it that way.. I know they had a guy from my team last year join them, and with Wills, Tserpes, Brown and some depth, they should be tougher than last year.

Mape, good old just plain solid maple hill, they got that beautiful course as a nice homefield advantage, and with Dodge, Southwick x 2, tolvanen and the others, they are always a tough out.

the new blood will be interesting to see, heck, this will still be fun regardless.

Before i think about trying out for any team, what is rough schedule like. Not team v. team, but like what days usually, saturday or sundays?

Depends on the Capt and team could be either or. Teams typically like to avoid Sundays due to Patriots season. However, I like to avoid Saturdays due to Clemson Football season.

Depends, I think we've played like half on sunday, half on saturday.

If you make the team, there's a reason it's a 12 man roster, so that in big challenges, it's the whole team, and in small challenges you got flex, so you dont have to be held down by the availability of 1-2 guys.

Youll be fine im sure.

Yup.

None will be scheduled for December.

I assume if captains agree they could play their Nov. or Jan. challenge in December???

Both Capt's must agree however, no one will be forced to play in Dec.

Wick closes at the end of October. I think the Wickender (Oct 28th) is the unofficial end of Wickham for the year although the baskets will stay in the ground for a short while.

I hope Maple Hill gave that new hot shot, a huuuuuuggghh sign on bonus!! If not I'm gonna need a caddie in the finals. I thought the only thing he had in common with Johnny Damon was that he was lefty

I want that new hot shot first round Joe, of the first challenge,...let it be known.

Going Dooooooowwnn LaForce!!

Dano, if you can scratch a team together by sunday, Solbo said he would accept a team up until kickoff of the first football game I beleive. Talk to him about it tomorrow, but it would be great to have an even number of teams for the challenge.
