Almost ace, sweet eagles or birds, nice shots but NOT an ACE

Also the place for aces, near aces, beautiful birdies and enormous eagles.

backwards Ace... Eca?

hahah get this...went to the orange high plains park today with the family. the kids and wife were on the kid's playground, and i grabbed my discs to get in 3 or 4 holes real quick. since there's no solid layout there, i went from the playground to hole 8, and from 8 backwards to 7, then to 6, and back to 7-8 and to the playground.

shooting from about 30 feet after pin 8, downhill and downwind to basket 7, (high winds), I NAILED IT. the disc kept going and going, dead straight, i knew it would hit as soon as i let it go. downhill and downwind, it was about 250 feet (which is better than my average drive) it was completely weird feeling... i just stood there staring at it. of course, no one saw it.

pin high 4' to the right 14 at Buff. in some nasty wind. Not such a tough shot but, in that kind of wind it was.

I got 16 at Buff yesterday from about 80 feet.

The disc went for a ride off of the ice and actually went pass the basket. You have to love to hate winter!

18 people played two rounds at Burgess park in Marston Mills, and nobody got an ACE!

yesterday at buff league, Jerel's approach on hole 20, as it leaves his hand, he calls the shot to hit off the tree to the right of the basket and go in, which is precisely what it does. Not the first time i've seen him hit shots like that.

Cahill hit dead center Hole #6 at W. Thompson; it did not stick. Then, a few holes later, hits chains on the little downhill towards the water....it bounced out and o.b.. he got a 4. LOL

In the past three days:

Aced hole 5 (hanging basket) at Pyramids on my third shot after I had hit the log six inches higher than the chains on my first throw

Bounced off front of basket on hole 3 at Northampton.

and

Hit off the pole on hole 6 at Northampton.

So close, and yet...

Slammed the chains strongside with a green Augusta Wraith

Can't believe it didn't stick

Nailed hole 15 W>W Borderland, smashed chains but it slid through and fell just behind the pin. Sooo close to my first ace of the year.

Banged the chains on New 6 at Panthorn for a causal round after league.

Eagle straight down the gut with a quick fade at the end. Must have hit the back of the chains and it didn't stick.

First time out since I compressed a vertabrea in my back and screwed up some discs in December. Way to get back into the swing of things.

Is'nt new hole 6 the shorty behind the OB pond? Not a typical Eagle hole.

Jason Dore birdied hole 14 at Devens on Sunday. First time I've ever seen that. Although Hole 14 is only 310 ft, it is a major uphill killer with a narrow opening off the tee. What a drive!

The one after the pond. So 7 then.

First time I played the new layout. And if anyone has played the new holes, tremendous work as been done by Lick, Z, Lane and the Cows(sorry if I missed someone.) New raised decking tees with fly pads on three or four holes. Trenches to clear out the standing water.

Looking good guys!

Saturday at Pyramids Hole 17 Gold...Jack Gabby had a great drive that surely would have been within 30 feet, but the silver basket snatched up his Surge SS and kept it for its own... It was fun to watch, and also fun to win that round by 1 stroke in the end 8-)
