I'm sure I missed this somewhere but... if your name is not on the invite list can you still be wait listed? I didn't play in enough events to qualify but would love to play if a spot opens up.

Well, sort of......... I'll use AM2 as an example:

There's currently 2 "invites" not paid for.
At noon Wednesday, John Giampapa & Peter Nevius are the next in line. Peter has voiced his intention to play so once he pays, John G needs to yes/no the last spot. Andy Allen is next(& blue) if John G declines.
I'd say the odds are against you playing, Matt. But stranger stuff has happened.

AM1's have 6 unused invites so at noon, the next 6 on the waitlist have first dibs. Everytime someone on waitlists that declines, the next player in line is "invited". etc etc etc.

THE KEY TO THIS IS THE WAITLISTERS NEEDED TO VOICE THEIR INTENTIONS SO I HAVE A "GO LIST" AS FAR AS WHO'S REALLY NEXT.

OK, looks like the mad rush at noon has subsided.............
Keep in mind that we'd LOVE to fill this tourney and we'll be making some moves with the unused invites. I'm gonna say that there's at least a few people that'll come home from work today and find their invites have been scooped up by the die-hard NEFAites.

We'll sit back and let them respond here so we have a good idea where we can move things around and get everyone in that's qualified and free to come up on Saturday. We'll have a plan in place late tonight or early tomorrow.
