Maybe we should start a "Crane Hill @ Newton" thread so we can get their input on the date, etc.

Captains should probably let their team members know what the deal is  I had no idea that Crane was good with the 30th til I asked Brad today. We should have a Crane @ Newton thread for [bleep] talking purposes alone! I got Fleury

Every challenge has a thread for it. If not for setting the date, then for talkin some smack. Plus, I want to see who's on this team Crane other than Pete, Jeff, and Cam.

This is obviously a very rough 1st draft of a bumper sticker idea... But you get the picture. I know someone who makes quality stickers/decals for very cheap. Gotta have some team pride on ya bumpah!

That bumpa sticka will work great for covering up those rust spots on y'alls hoopteys... and it looks like it only has about three copyright violations, so that's cool too... seriously though that is some creative, funny isht, good work.

You have to make 7 changes to something in order to clear the copy right issues. We see that all the time with changed up Harley logos. Reshaping edges/lines/corners and changing colors. Stuff like that. Looks pretty good though.

As for gear.... I'm not a huge fan of zip up hoodies... I'd rather a pull over if it's an option but I'll stick with the majority if the zip ups are what people want. I love the idea of rimmed winter hats that Brad had mentioned to me. I have this Majestic MLB style jacket that the long sleeves zip off that has the Burkett Little League stuff on it but I can find out from somebody at the league how much those were and how to get them with our stuff on it. That may be something for next year as it is already mid-September.

I'll have to check if I can make Saturday but I hope I can. Sounds like some fun.

 Like I said, it's just a rough first go at it... I will fix it up and see if my buddy can get a few printed up for me. As far as covering rust spots on MY hoopty- I think I'm gonna need a bigger bumper sticka!

Thanks guys.

Someone threw out the 11:00 time to be on the hill. That works for me if it works for others. We could plan for 2:30 or 3:00 to be at my place.

My address:
19 Carleton Rd
Rochdale, MA

Rochdale is part of Leicester. A few of you have been there before. It's right near where Stafford St and rt 56 meet (on the opposite side of town from Pyramids/Maple Hill). Best way to get here from Worcester is Park Ave to Stafford St, but going over the airport and taking 56 all the way works fine too.
My # - 508-320-6568. Give me a ring if you can't mapquest or GPS and I'll give directions.

Rob, bring the basket if it's not too much trouble.

Haha. I'll have to check with the boss... For other tournaments she figured on using her regular day care rate of like $40/day but maybe she'll cut the team a break.

I may be there Saturday but I would also have my two little ones tagging along.

I have a couple ideas for the Logo. When you walk down from the 3 basket to the 4 tee you go through what's left of the "tunnel" made up of the bent over birch trees. Maybe we can get a pic of that and work it into some embroidery??? I'm trying to come up with some signature of the course that would transfer but not sure that cuts it. Basket under the tree on 9? Thats all I have in mind at the moment but I'll keep thinking about it.

Ummm, free caddy for the day?

Mike Cormier wrote:I may be there Saturday but I would also have my two little ones tagging along.

Your kids are kinda little, but split the bag in two and only take 8 disc and you got yourself...wait for it...2 caddies!
PS - bring em to the cookout too!

Good ideas Mike. I had an idea too. It's a hill with small trees along the slope, and a big basket at the summit. Behind the hill are the outline of urban buildings. Underneath reads "Newton Hill Disc Golf" or "Team Newton Hill". I think I can come up with a prototype design that is classy and really captures the essence of what Newton Hill is all about. To me, our beautiful course surrounded by city IS the signiature of the course (no other urban course like that in New England).

That's a lot of detail for a little tag. Though, I have not seen other tags to compare to know if that works or not.

Mike, if you are bringing your little ones Saturday, we should definitely play in the same group along with 2 other "willing" participants. I will take bets on what hole we first hear "pick me up", another bet on who will say it. It will be fun to watch our sons compete!

That was an idea for a logo to go on team gear. Wasn't really thinking of tags. I went to Burgess league this summer, they had a pretty intricate tag. I'll try to find a pic of it.

I think the hawks that live up there are also a signature of the course. Maybe they could be incorporated somehow.

Jeff I will bring the basket.

As far as tags go they can be made out of any metal but pricing is of course different. We can talk about it Saturday.
