If CL loses @ Cran and NASA loses @ Burgess, then 3 teams (CL, Cran, NASA) are 3-2.

Based on regular season play:

* Cran wins tie over CL based on head to head.

* NASA wins tie breaker over Cran based on head to head.

Final order: 3) NASA 4) Cran 5) CL

That's the way I see it. Correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks.

Head to head can't really be applied with a 3 way, unless 2 teams both beat the other. Say it was a tie for just 1 spot rather than 2, how would it look?

Nasa beat Cran
Cran beat Cap't L

Who gets the spot?

You can't really use the commutative property here. Nasa > Cran and Cran > Capt doesn't equal Nasa > Capt.

OK, Euclid -- look at it this way:

I would agree that if we actually lost to CL (which we did not), then it would be a 3-way tie because A beat B, B beat C, and C beat A. This is not the case, and we need to work with the schedule and tie breakers provided.

Since we didn't play CL, let's assume it's a tie. Between the 3 teams with the same record, now assign points (1 point for a win, 0 pts for loss, 0.5 pts for tie:

NASA beat Cran and tied CL: 1 + .5 = 1.5
Cran lost to NASA (0 pts) and if they beat CL (tbd / 1 pt): 0 + 1 = 1.0
If CL losses to Cran (tbd / 0 pts) and assumed a tie against NASA (0.5 pts): 0 + 0.5 = 0.5

End result: NASA 1.5, Cran 1.0 and CL 0.5.

This is as we discussed at yesterday's Challenge, just really posting for others to understand my thoughts. Thanks for hosting yesterday -- both at your home and course. The course keeps getting better -- keep it up.

Coed dubs / 3 holes -- then sudden death. First team out hits the road.

Coed dubs as in male/female?

I like the doubles idea. I'd like to see 6 holes total score, 2 teams for each squad. Worst combined score out. If there's a tie, then it goes sudden death. Continuing the flow of the course.

Removes some of the flukiness that could occur on the front at hyland. Think it's more fair for everyone involved.

Co-Ed seems to exclusive. I would like it to be more of a Team playoff not a co-Ed 3 hole dubs tourney. Minuimum 4 players from each side... Play 6 holes. Marielie is

I like multiple doubles per team (including a coed team). How does it work if we each win one / lose one. That could happen.

Stroke play Team with highest combined score takes a drive... 745 am tee one group on 10 other on 1.If still tied 3 way sudden death dubs..

If If I had the best female in nefa I would want co-Ed but I dont. So I can't compromise on that. Captians choice of players he uses.

You have the best players -- this is coed league -- 1 player should be female / no compromise.

We all have more lefties than we have women on the team. It is a male based league. Not saying u can't use a female. just I believe as captians we owe it to our teams/teammates to put the best players in the best spots to win.

U get ur best 4 I get mine Sean does the same and we fight it out

Disagree, my team beat his best players on their home course, match play last weekend.

It's a coed league, but not required to have a female actually show up (hence the point penalty system). shouldn't be required to have one in the playoff

Willing to agree to your other terms -- despite cran having top players in league -- clearly a good scenario for cran. Condition is 1 female -- which seems very reasonable considering it is dubs and female may not even contribute. If you want a deal, that's my offer.

I don't understand why a women needs be a requirement. there are no gender requirements in this league why have one for a playoff.

There IS a gender requirement, else point penalty. We carry 2 women on our roster and have been advocates for female participation / involvement for years.
