I say we all skip finals and donate the funds to remedial math education for players from Connecticut. Of course, zoro would sign up for a class far below his 3rd grade skill level just to crush some fools who only learned math last year.

Crane's got no say in the matter but just my .02 maple hill for finals would be a great choice .. Can't see a reason against it

Sorry to chime in late on page 4 but........... Aren't the finals supposed to be at a neutral site instead of somebody's home course ???? Clarify please.

I recommend a VT course. I haven't played any yet, but then everyone would have to drive

How about Sugarbush.

Boy there sure are a lot of people not involved with this challenge posting here huh !

Go TT!!!!!

Maybe if enough of the other B-poolers show up to Crane the day of our match and cheer for us, we can get it done and avoid the trip to Maine.

That's why we chose WV. It's supposed to be the best record's choice, but can't be their actual home course.

What challenge Les? This is the b pool finals location thread. But, if you are referring to TT/ Crane, unfortunately about 14 other teams are involved since 3 different team challenge finals cannot be arranged until you sort this out. Phill offered to use maple if TT ends up tied with them... You would prefer Vermont?

Mr. Lick is looking into the availability of Wickham park on the date of finals for us. If he and the park give us the green light then I would propose we party atop that wacky hill in Manchester. Ample parking, bathrooms, all highway driving no side roads, a restaurant next door that will take orders in the morning and deliver, an A-tier supertour event venue.....

Still haven't gotten the okay yet but I expect to hear back soon. If they give us the okay I think it's a great option.

...and why would a team from Maine agree to this? Maine is atleast tied for Bpool reg season champ. I don't see them aggreeing to drive to CT for finals.

Next to come out is Phill is required to play blindfolded in their underwear, with nothing more than an OS Nuke and a muddy towel. They'd probably still win 8-). Wickham Park.................

I'm hoping because maybe they will realize that its a great option overall for the event in general. And it will allow our team to arrive early and setup everything needed to host a great day of finals. Its not that much further than Mass which they are already willing to do. I wouldn't even be against talking about chipping in for their fuel costs for drving if they are gracious enough to agree.

Somewhere here, DMack is delusional to the point where he thinks "agree on a neutral course" means suggesting a course 20 minutes from TT's home course. He's either being stupid or meddlesome. I'm sure Wick would be a great location for a number of reasons, but it won't be happening this year.

Nothing says it has to be a "neutral" course per say, just one that's appropriate for the event and one that our 2 teams agree upon. (In the event that we win on April 1) I think it's a solid option for the event and have listed some of the reasons why, but if you guys don't want to play there than there's nothing we can do.

So what's wrong with Maple Hill?

Plus, it's 50 minutes from Tolland. Seriously. We've done more than try to meet in the middle. How about instead of trying to [bleep] all over our generosity, you take a good offer and stop stalling the process for the whole league?

I think we have a little case of "stirring the pot".

Want Wick? Great. I'd personally rather FDR if we're driving down there. Suck it.

Flatrock? If you want a great course that isnt near anyone it should be on the list. Franchi and Helen are two of the best hosts in all of Nefa.

I agree that Dmack must be pulling your leg guys. Way to stay above the fray!

Since MAYBE one person on our team has even seen Barre Falls, and I'm guessing a majority of yours has played there, if not multiple times, I'm going to have to decline based on that premise alone.

We're trying to be am.i.ca.ble and all we're getting is childish foot-stomping.

WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH MAPLE HILL???? A course that should be relatively close in advantage to BOTH teams who have (possibly) gone undefeated this year? Riddle me that and I'll listen.

Thanks!

$23 in tolls
$137 in gas
$200 in hotels
$200 in food

Earlier it was posted "you knew going into this that being from Maine meant you were going to travel the most. Don't try to be a martyr." Fair enough!
You got into this knowing there was a possibility that a team from Maine was going to do well enough that Maine would have a say in where Finals would be held. So we never bitched about travel or costs. So stop pitching the whole fuel cost and travel time crap as if that should factor into the decision!
I think Toothy has been Very accommodating this season, worked hard to take these challenges seriously when it comes to coaching, and even in this topic he's been fair about it. Given recent events, I wonder if Tolland wants to hold the finals MAY 1 to see how few people will show.
Let's get this crap going man! We're not even playing for $, and this crap has made A Pool bickering seem harmless!

Dude, you're not negotiating with me. You can negotiate with our captain, all I did was suggest a course like many others are doing. You don't want to play us at Wickham, I understand that dude, no one wants to play us at Wickham. I'd be scared too.... and that's a fact, Jack.
