I don't think you are familiar with the definition of hosting. Asking us to pay $400 is not hosting. Plus shutting down Maple for one day would absolutely not cost you $400. There is no way that $400 gets put into Maple in one day for greens fees...come on man!
I don't think you understand the word hosting!
a person, place, company, or the like, that provides services, resources, etc., as for a convention or sporting event: Our city would like to serve as host for the next Winter Olympics.
I'm pretty sure you're confusing hosting with donating...
Do you really expect a business to shut down operations for a whole day, close the course to the public, let everyone use the awesome sap house amenities for free? There is absolutely no reason to expect that of someone. Steve, Tom and Dave are already very generous guys, but I mean come on!
Not to mention that you guys would engulf a whole course. If you chose a public course, what are you going to do about casual golfers? There's going to be groups on all 18 holes already, I personally think paying $4 is WELL worth not having to deal with casuals making the rounds even slower!

Does anyone else realize that the traffic going to Maple that day would be so minute due to TC Finals for both A and B both playing on the 14th if we didn't have the finals there? Who would be there, a couple handfulls of people who don't play in TC? $400 seems WAY overpriced.
IFF we have no other option, I think the $400 come out of the dues and not our pockets.
Dude, you seriously have no clue what you're talking about. There are a ton of people that play MH, especially on a nice weekend day. Hell, I was there yesterday and there were casuals playing on a Wednesday afternoon! $4 a person (which is more than 1/2 price) seems WAY overpriced to you?! Must be nice to be you and 60% off is a ripoff!
So according to NoHo all Maine and pay to play courses are out. Then all courses of the teams you are competing against are out. What does that leave? Good luck trying to find a course that no one plays on the weekend!
