so its time to start thinking about Nefa Dubz 3rd season

september and october are bust months but I will allow non conflicting events starting mid sept

the season will end mid april again and finalz will be last weekend in april,1st in may..TBA soon

not sure if I am going with sunday or monday yet....prob monday to keep the weekday theme from years past alive and keep sunday open for other events

Will John Britton do a dubz event the day after Hunt's tourney on the 9th?

I am sure JB's will make the schedule..my guess could be his end of terror in NE/NH tour this spring rather the historic start the series season event...don't worry rob you and drew have a spanking coming and not the kinky kind the woodshed kind

7 events scheduled already before DEC...and who knows more to come

Seriously? What do you want the board to do? I just don't see many events joining in. That is a question for TD's, not the NEFA BoD.

the fees were/are an issue..many of the events are "charity" based as most all winter dubz events are...

crushing 25 bucks for nefa fee..and 2 bucks from every player takes away around $170 dollars

add in finals fee for the series...another 2 bucks..144 more...and nefa never aggreed to match "finals" money from that 2 bucks per team taken...

so why would that event/td even wanna do it?

for the points? yeah..I wanted to work w/ Danny and he wanted to help with the series points..but the $$ issue made it a moot point..as the series was slowed by the fee's

that said...nefa has also never "on their" own set out to advertise..reach members...heck for 3 years I asked/begged for a NDS logo to go next to events on schedule so players even know WTF is going on...

many kids liked the series and I had parents Pm'ing me praising the series and how much fun their kid (s) had...that is what kept me ticking over all the BS...non nefa members and just lurkers..that was cool and showed me the series was doing what it was meant to do...

but now after dealing with solbo,rob,sandy,matt I am just burnt on this and really am I suppose to run a regional series by myself?

heck nefa can't even run the singles series with an army right now....

I needed help..I asked for help..the series deserved help....the help I got was telling me to make events charge money for nefa

I digress

as I mentioned many times before the idea is out there..people loved it..the series coulda been much cooler as the years went by if we all worked together..that never happened..actually the complete opposite happened

I am not even a nefa member..I tried for 3 years to streamline this into nefa..for the simple reason in case I could not be around a year..the series go to shart and that is not fair IMO to nefa,the members...I think former BODs should push current functional ideas from past BOD's just as much as future ideas(much like the grant program)

I do understand nefa needs $$$ just think some compromise in regards to fees coulda been worked out

and I also did realize the big to do's w/ the single series and the big year nefa BOD has planned..adding another item to the list right now just seems maybe too much right now...so I am content with series resting for a year..I just hope the next gen of BOD brings this back from the dead

again I thank the TDS and Players who made the first seasons happen...they were awesome!!!!

With so many teams now playing Team Challenge, I don't think there would be a strong showing in many of the dubs events.

what I found though is many new to sport seemed to enjoy the format
